Im not sure exactly where the penthouse is, but Legends and Treasures were the ones we used to go to back in high school. I think one if not both are BYOB and fully nude. Like I said, you can drive down Westheimer or Richmond and have your pick of clubs.

I don't remember for sure, but wasn't the last time Oakland went into Texas, Billy Binge had like 22 points in 3 games? I think this may have been his (or my) sophomore year. They must have not gotten the memo that you have to lock that guy off.

I don't remember exactly who Oakland played the last time they came to Houston, but it's not like they were tops in the MDIA at the time, so not everyone new Binge. Also, you have to look at which teams he had the points against. It might have been he had 6 or more against A&M, but apparently it didn't make a difference in that game.

With that said, it will be a different story this weekend and there are no excuses for not knowing where he is on the field at all times.

No kidding! With all the sports complexes around Houston, are you telling me they couldn't find a real field?

The Houston Sports Authority can make the Super Bowl happen, but they can't seem to find two regulation lacrosse fields in the entire city of Houston?

Very dissapointing for an event that was promoted so heavily in the Houston lacrosse community.

Where should I start? This game vs Texas was up and down. We jumped to a 8 2 lead going into the half. To many man downs gave Texas the upper hand. Texas faught back and made it a close game. The field here suck. It was mud bowl 2005, I think it would have been a different game for both teams if we had played at a better place (field turf). I give Texas much more respect then most teams and people do. The final here in Mud Bowl 2005 was Oakland 12 Texas 10.

I appologize on behalf of UH Lacrosse since we represent the city of Houston. I'll just add this, and read into it what you want. The venue - Clear Lake Park was decided on weeks ago. There were other venues discussed, including the UNIVERSITY OF HOUSTON, but Clear Lake Park was decided on as the venue. I have been involved with Lacrosse in Clear Lake for 5 years. I coached Clear Lake's Boys Varsity for 4 years. I made it known that the venue was unacceptable from the start to the proper people, but nothing was done. We at UH play on what we think is the best venue for college lacrosse in Texas - Carl Lewis Stadium. Ask LSU how the field was for today's game. I appologize to the out of state teams and the Texas teams that had to travel many miles for this weekend. Oakland, UNH, don't hold it against Texas Lacrosse. We appreciate you folks coming to Texas. We owe you one!

That's the part I don't get Coach Ormsby. I know we can't control the poor weather leading up to (and during) the event. But it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that you can't put a 110 yd. college lacrosse field into an 80 yard area. It was beyond poor planning by whoever made the final decision to play there. You can't fit a square peg into a round hole.

One of the visiting coaches commented to me this weekend that if his sports club director knew in advance about the poor field conditions at Clear Lake Park, they would not have been allowed to make the trip at all... It's sad when some teams fundraise thousands of dollars to make a trip like that to have it ruined by such incredible poor fields. I would have like to have seen the competition this weekend in better conditions.
