How far will Michigan drop? #3? #4?
Could it be?
CSU
SSU
Michigan
Then a jumble (not in order):
Colorado beat BYU twice lost to UCSB
Arizona beat BYU, UCSB, lost to UCSD
BYU lost to UCSB, Arizona, Colorado beat CSU, FSU
UCSD lost to USD, ASU beat UCSB, Arizona,
UCSB lost to UCSD, Arizona, beat Colorado, BYU
FSU AQ lost to BYU
Oregon AQ? lost to Cal Poly, Sonoma, BYU
Bubble (one will be out) (more if there are additional upsets):
10-Oregon if they don't win PNCLL
11-Cal Poly lost in OT to Arizona
12-Utah lost to BYU and CSU by 10 and 4 since last poll
Lower Ranked AQ's
12. Lindenwood GRLC AQ?
13. UMD UMLL AQ?
14. PCLL AQ
15. CCLA AQ
16 Texas Tech LSA AQ

It is an absolute mess. I have never seen such a confounding, confusing cluster of teams and contrary wins and losses. I don't mind "getting the dart board out" for early season polls, but never for the final poll which sends teams to the dance. I will have to study long and hard, and have no clue at this point how I am going to vote. If there are a few more stunning upsets like MSU over Michigan I may just start drinking heavily.

What if CU beats CSU and Noma doesn't win the WCLL? Could they even be #1?
Seriously, it is a total mess at the top. If you are a fan this year, you have to be happy that your team has a chance to win it all..even if they are ranked as low as 10.

I would think the winner of the RMLC would have to be the #1 seed at this point, even if Sonoma wins the WCLL. Sonoma is 0-3 against the RMLC with losses to CSU, BYU, and Utah.
Also, Michigan had a legit claim for the #1 spot but they lost in the semi's of the CCLA playoffs to a much lower ranked team in MSU.

I can't see #12 Utah moving up in the polls after losing to BYU by 10 and CSU by 4. I think Utah might be out of the MDIA tournament because with the Michigan loss, there will be five lower ranked AQ's. #11 will be the cut off. If Oregon losses to OSU, I think they might be out. I don't see Cal Poly moving down after 2 wins and an OT loss to #8 Arizona.

You conveniently neglected to mention that BYU has a victory over Michigan. Just in case you forgot

I also neglected to mention that BYU lost to Cal Poly. I also forgot to mention that BYU lost in the RMLC tournament by 7, a blowout (currently, the only team in the top 10 to lose their last game by more than 3). Thanks for reminding me.TrainerDan wrote:Bluevelvet wrote:How far will Michigan drop? #3? #4?

Are we starting to bicker already? I thought I would have at least until tomorrow until someone started putting thier team in the best light. Who cares where you are ranked? The people who should be getting on here are the teams who may not make it - Oakland, Utah and Cal Poly. The rest, who cares? You have to play a tough first, second, third and fourth round game no matter where you are.

So defensive...relax...take a deep breath...there ya go. Yea the Cougars got waxed on Friday, from those I have talked to they didn't show up. That being said, the Cougars lost 3 of their first 4 MDIA games and have managed to go, from that point, 8-2 (those 2 losse were both to CU) in MDIA games with convincing wins over CSU, SSU, FSU, Oregon, and Utah. Not a bad stretch.

The Cougars did show up. CU's defense was just better than BYU's offense. BYU couldn't do anything. I really think that CU matches up well against BYU. BYU's loss had nothing to do with them not showing up, it had everything to do with CU outplaying them.

Here's my top ten based on 2 possible scenarios tomorrow in the WCLL:
If SSU wins:
1. CSU
2. CU
3. Michigan
4. BYU
5. SSU
6. Arizona
7. UCSD
8. UCSB
9. FSU
10. Oregon
If Arizona wins:
1. CSU
2. CU
3. Michigan
4. BYU
5. Arizona
6. SSU
7. UCSD
8. UCSB
9. FSU
10. Oregon
If SSU wins:

2. CU
3. Michigan
4. BYU
5. SSU
6. Arizona
7. UCSD
8. UCSB
9. FSU
10. Oregon

Thanks Pete...I have still talked to a few that thought BYU was not in it mentally after the 1st quarter. Oh well...to late now. Time to gear up for Plano!

BYU gets blown out by 7 and does not drop. Colorado beats BYU and loses to CSU, they move up 2. Sonoma loses by 6 and then beats 2 top 10 teams and falls 2. UCSB loses by 3 and they fall 2. FSU wins by 5 and they drop 2. Michigan loses by 1 and they drop 2.TrainerDan wrote:Here's my top ten based on 2 possible scenarios tomorrow in the WCLL:

Every RMLC team moves up or stays the same no matter what. Every other team moves down 2.
Dan, this is just propaganda. Come back with something more realistic.

One thing Ive noticed is that you compare everything to the last poll. Granted that is a good measuring stick, but I have a funny feeling that some people are working from their previous polls that they submitted. Maybe the had FSU at 11 for their last poll. Then they would be moving up 2 spots. The previous poll isnt where everyone has to start from, because they might feel that it was inaccurate in their eyes.
