BC - 9
UNH - 12

UC - 6
NU - 18

I'm not 100% sure of the UCONN Northeastern score, but it was somewhere in that neighborhood. I apologize in advance if I messed it up too bad.

Unfortunately I think we're looking at another first round loss for PCLL teams. It'll be nice when we can move up the poll far enough to not have to play a top-5 team right off the bat.

I don't think that at all. The MDIA has been full of crazy upsets all year. Sonoma has had a great season, but no one is immune from the parity that has crept into the league. Also, I think the style of play Sonoma has will match up well for Northeastern. They play a hardnosed, grind it out type of game. I think NE will give them a real fight, and for the first time since BC played Oregon, I think we could win in the first round.

I agree Dan, NU is always a hard nosed team themselves, and I think they are due for a big upset here. The "shock and awe" of thier first MDIA Championship trip is gone, and they will be able to be much more focused on getting a win in thier first game. I know that the only games they have played vs. tourney teams were two 5 goal losses to Lindenwood, and Oakland, but hey, that was in February..when NU probably hadn't had one outdoor practice. I am sure they are all different teams by now. Best of luck Huskies!

I think NU will have a tough time... No question. But they're a great team and anything is possible.

NU and Sonoma had no common opponents, but Sonoma has had some really tight games with lower ranking teams and even 2 losses to lower ranked teams:

Against #5 BYU: L by 6
Against #7 UCSD: W by 1
Against #9 Oregon: W by 1
Against #13 Utah: L by 1

An upset can definitely happen. Best of luck to NU.

The PCLL had to give up their AQ because Salem State is able to attend due to finances and finals.

That is pathetic.

Those guys took a spot away from another PCLL B team that would have loved to go. Don't compete if you can't finish the job. I would hope that they would be severely punished for this.

I agree with Dan. If I remember correctly, we put a big emphasis on having 6 teams in Division B for the sole purpose of getting an AQ. Doesn't speak well of the PCLL when the division winner chooses not to attend the national championship.
