Volunteers - MDIA Championships in Dallas

The North Texas Chapter of US Lacrosse is looking for volunteers to help out with the National Championships in May. Volunteer in any capacity -- Registration, Game Reporting, Hosting, Gopher, etc.

Please, let us know if you can work during the championship week - May 9-13.

There is a reason why my old teammates call me Dale .... lets just say I thought I could "jump" a ditch at one of the A&M tournaments. Well, two hours later and about 5 guys finally got the golfcart out of the ditch.

North TX Lacrosse Community:

On behalf of the North Texas Chapter of USLacrosse, I would like to invite you to an organizational meeting for the upcoming USLIA Men’s and Women’s Championships that will be held in our area in May. In case you missed it, USLacrosse announced just last week that the Championships were awarded to Dallas for the 2006 and 2007 seasons. The preliminary games will be held at Russell Creek Park in Plano and the semi-finals and finals will be held at Highlander Stadium in Highland Park. This years event runs from May 9 – 13. Many volunteers are going to be needed for this effort. All leadership and assistant positions are open!!!

We need all who are interested to attend an organizational kick-off meeting on Thursday, January 26, 2006 at 7:00 PM. The meeting will be held at:

How would you like to be the personal escort (team host) to the Cal Poly women's team for a week from May 9 -13 in Dallas? Okay how about University of San Diego? Okay, Colorado State?

These are the jobs we need filled. We need 12 volunteers to hang out with 25 college women for five days. Who is in?

We also need lots of team hosts for the men's teams that are coming to town. Would you like to watch Sonoma State practice, warm up and play three, four, or five games in a week? Do you think you could learn something from them? If you answered yes you need to volunteer to be a team host.

Are the semi-finals still being held at the stadium? I have heard rumors from a couple people that this might possibly not happen.

The National Championships are in our back yard. We need some support.

If you are going to be in Dallas for the tournament, please consider donating a couple of hours to the tournament.
