Limestone Taps Phenicie as Interim Head Coach
Limestone College Athletics Director Larry Epperly announced today that head men's lacrosse coach Chris Hasbrouck has been terminated and that Chris Phenicie will serve as interim coach.
"After careful evaluation of all aspects of the men's lacrosse program, Limestone College has decided that a change of direction is important for its future. I have informed Coach Hasbrouck of that decision and have asked Chris Phenicie to provide leadership as interim coach, effective immediately."
Phenicie is no stranger to the men's lacrosse program at Limestone. From 1991 to 2003, he served as assistant coach. For the past several years, he has served as Vice President for Enrollment Services and in that position he has been responsible for the enrollment and retention programs that reach all students. In the interim, assistant coaches Chris Barrett and Brad Nasato will continue their roles.
It is anticipated that a national search will get underway this week for Hasbrouck's replacement. Epperly said that Limestone's long history of success in both the Deep South Conference and in NCAA national competition should be "positive factors in attracting top talent to the coaching position."

How about..... N-O-W-A-Y
Coaches enjoy forwarding their career not taking a step back, unless they havent shown success at the next level.
Coach P will have no problem finding a job at a D1 school in the off-season.

I think you mis-understood. JR is not saying that Pressler is going to take the job....
There have been some reported issues with the Limestone team - see the laxpower post that links to two articles. I think that JR's pressler comment refers to the coach taking the blame for the player's off the field actions.
