U of M - 14
Moorhead - 4

Moorhead played very well despite being low on numbers.

Is it just me or do the scores of all the games this year, and the victors, and the losers... make any sense at all?? For me, this is the best season the UMLL has had in a while... anybody can beat anybody at any time... it makes things really fun.

Carleton 8
NDSU 3

NDSU came out looking strong but couldn't hold on. Carleton played well and capitalized on SU's mistakes. NDSU only had a few subs and were clearly tired in the second half. #15 and #6 were the standouts offensively for Carleton that I saw.

Actually it does matter.

Actually, it doesn't matter. There's no reason to discuss this past situation any further, and specifying names accomplishes nothing, anyways. The league knows who will have to sit games, so let them worry about it.

Sitting on the sidelines for UMN vs. UWSP and UMD vs. Moorhead I am going to take my best guess at the scores..

12-6 UMN over UWSP

20-4 UMD over Moorhead

Those are pretty close to the actual I think.

21-4 UMD over Moorhead.

Moorhead is to be commended. They played well and with effort for 60 minutes.

I do not know the final UofM v. UWSP score.

Not quite, the U had control of the ball most of the game. They were also man down a decent amount, maybe a stick penalty and I think 2 men down at one point (The U). UMN did a good job at hitting guys inside UWSP's zone.

To clarify, it matters because most new people to this game are attracted to the the physical side of this game. I would hope that they would learn that the hard hits are just a small portion of what makes this game so great.

I did not ask for the players to be named. What matters is that the players are disciplined by the league. Each player needs to be held accountable for their actions. To be thrown out of a game is not a "badge of honor" but a waste of time and shows that a player was being selfish, thinking of themselves first and the team and their school second. I tell my own team that I will always support an aggressive penalty.

Not a sermon. Just a thought.

[Sun 23-Apr Iowa State vs Mankato Ames 2:00pm ]

Mankato 9
Iowa State 7

I think that set the #5 and #6 seeds, correct me if I'm wrong.

Final day of the tournament and no chatter? St. John's vs. St. Thomas at noon...If their regular season game was any indication this could be great. DanGenck will be posting updates in the live action forum. Minnesota vs. Duluth at 3:30. Minnesota certainly showed up to play last year in the tournament, though I think Duluth just might be too tough to handle. Should be a cold and wet affair. I can't wait.

They also lost their top 4 (5?) points getters and head coach, I predict Duluth by 7. But only because of the weather, 10+ on a sunny day.
