2005 Allstar Game
Are the two teams in the finals going to be represented in the allstar game this season?

No game
Sorry, we voted to hold no 2005 all-star game at the AGM back in September. Too difficult logistically and too expensive. All-Star teams to be named as usual. I'm disappointed along with everybody else, and wish we can find a viable way to resurrect the game in the future.

PNCLL All-Stars
On a positive note - for those all-stars that are interested, there was talk of sending an All-Star team to the Victoria tourney after the season to represent the PNCLL.
If there is enough interest, I think this could definitely happen. I think this league could put together an incredibly competitive team for that tourney.
And no, there would be no "2-player minimum" - the league would try to put the best, most representative team out there amongst the players that would be willing to make the trip.
Any other thoughts on this idea? I personally think this could work - and become an annual "honor" for the top 15-20 players in the league.

Oregon sent a team up last summer. We were 3-1 going into the simis, lost, and won the conselation game placing us 3rd overall. A team out of Seattle won it all. Im sure that if we were to put together a PNCLL squad, as you suggested, we would have a shot at taking home the whole meal deal. Oh, and by the way, its all about the beer garden, sunny days, and wasted female laxers speculating on where they hope to spend the night! What is? See you all on the field...Im out

Victoria
I would highly recommend the Victoria Tourney for the PNCLL all-stars (or anyone for that matter)- Victoria is an awesome town with a great nightlife (make sure you go to Monty's and I'll provide stories later for those interested) - the tournament is amazing, I've gone each of the last three years, each one has been a blast. The competition level has varied slightly from year to year (last year the WLA had their championships at the same time so a lot of the local guys weren't allowed to compete) but each year has brought out plenty of former Canadian National Members, NLL guys and some good players from the US too. Also the tournament is over a three day weekend in Canada, so there is a lot going on and lots of people out having fun. Just look out for team NW, we'll be back to defend our title.

PNCLL Alumni Team?
I've noticed a lot of alumni interest in the league. Would anyone be interested in a PNCLL alumni team to play at one of these tournaments? Vail would be sweet.

Reed, what about a PNCLL Alumni vs. current PNCLL All-Star game? I think that would be great. Consider the Lax Vegas tournament, Lake Placid, or Chicago shootout as well. If you want to organize it, I'm in.

Neil, I know, each tournament has it's perks...I'm just messin.
Kyle, given the amount of alumni that would actually be interested, I think Neil might have to play attack and middie--not sit the bench.

I'm sure I could get 5-6 alumni to play myself, and its only fair he rides for 1/2 every game. He only played half his career here anyway... Who wants a guy with a stick like that anyway..

5-6, nice. That's more than I can. In addition to the 5 here, that's like 10-11. You should organize it Kyle. What do you think about Victoria?

Josh Saunders, Greg Spak, and Peter Lewicki all play with me in Vail--I'm sure we could get those guys to play in Victoria. Also, John Finley (WSU '02) lives in Spokane and he might be down. Kojima lives in 'couver still doesn't he? Get him to play. Hopefully someone can step it up and organize a Victoria team...
