Wish I could, I am coaching a 7th/8th grade team for Edina's spring lacrosse program. Maybe next year. 8-)

Thursdays Games

Postby Hammer23 on Thu Apr 20, 2006 3:22 pm

Does anybody have predictions for tonights games???

Here is my thinking:

Roseville over Andover by 6
Blaine over Irondale by 4
Jefferson over Chaska by 5
Centennial over Coon Rapids by 8
Eagan over Mahtomedi by 6
Eastview over Woodbury by 10

Also does anybody have a picture of what a Top Ten might look like after the first week and a half of games? Here is my thinking of a list, but it is really not that accurate as there haven't been that many games played yet.

1. Blake (Defending state champs, still undefeated this year)
2. Holy Angels (Huge win over PL)
3. Benilde St. Margaret (Only one win so far but it was convincing)
4. Osseo (Edged one out against EP and handled St. Cloud)
5. Apple Valley (State runner-up, undefeated, but lost a few key seniors)
6. Eastview (Played AV tight last year, only lost 3 senior starters: 2 goalies)
7. Edina (3-0 so far, could be some teams in front of them but none that have proved themselves yet)
8. Hopkins (2-0 in MN, only lost was to Rockhurst Jesuit from MO but shouldn't effect MN standings)
9. Moundsview (Tough loss to AHA but a solid victory over Breck)
10. Eagan (Haven't played yet, but were very strong last season, should move up after a few games)

Again it's very rough and we should see teams emerge as definite top ten teams as the season progresses.

Maybe you two guys should start Minnesota's first "Highly Specialized Lacrosse Camp" for crease attackmen.

 You'd appeal to the kid's who don't really want to run.

Sorry, it was out there....

Hey now I think I could put on a 2-3 day camp teaching crease skills and general laziness. Best part is low field cost, we could probably do it in my yard.

Yeah...the issue with that is you need someone to teach them when to get you the ball....aint that right Champ!!! :D

Eastview Score

Postby Hammer23 on Thu Apr 20, 2006 9:50 pm

Unofficial final score from Woodbury tonight: Eastview 14, Woodbury 4. The game was a bit lopsided with Eastview scoring the first goal and never looking back. The score was 8-2 at half and junior Nick Gramstad had 10 points in the contest (5g, 5a). It'll be interesting to see how their season pans out if they keep playing this way.
