I was a little disappointed that my alma mater, University of Rochester, did not quite make it to the top 25. Pretty close though.
They are 6-1 on laxpower but only 3-1 on USL MDIA. They played and beat NCLL teams Hobart, Niagara, and Buffalo St.
Rochester has always been a hot bed of lacrosse. Geographically, it is very close to Syracuse and seems ideal for the MDIA with it's high academic standards. UofR was D3 until the program was discontinued due budget constraints a few years back. Nice to see lacrosse back at the UofR.
Hope to see you in Plano, Yellowjackets.

I'm kind of surprised that Pepperdine is still in the top 25. It'll be interesting to see how the League Championships play out.

I don't know how exactly the SELC does their postseason, but I'd be willing to bet it has something to do with their conference record...

the selc B is a confusing confernce and with the exception of the very top guys nobody really seems to know how standings are done. There is a north and a south division but there are no lists anywhere of which teams are which. app state beat davidson and scad beat emory, and however it's done they apparently they had the same number of division wins.

So it's clear to me that App State and SCAD win the first tiebreaker (head to head competition) and get the slot in the playoffs. What's confusing about that?

I was very surprised they missed the Top 25 as well. They beat Carnegie Melon, a Top 25 team, and have only one loss to Grove City very early in the season. For their first organized season in year, I have been very impressed, and I think they have a good shot of taking the Division B championship. The PCLL has some solid Division B programs overall. Once they are a little more established (most are very, very young programs) we will see them travel more and show the other conferences what they are capable of.

I think the reason the situation with app state, scad, davidson and emory is confusing is because davidson and emory have consistently been ranked higher in polls than app state and scad. even the most recent ones.
think before you speak and the world will be a more peaceful place.

I'm pretty sure Carnegie Mellon was pretty injured for that game including Matt Adams, their CCLA-B conference leading scorer... Just something to consider.

The score was: University of Rochester 15-Carnegie-Mellon 10. Not that close.

Well... considering Adams has averaged 5.25 goals per game and 7 points per game, that's a pretty big factor.
