Best player you have seen this year.......
With the close of the regular season, I think it is time to ask the question: Who is the best lacrosse player you have seen this year?

Without a doubt, Auburn's own, #3, Timothy Fanning. The kid is amasing.

It might be just me, but it didn't seem like anyone stood out that much. There seemed to be a lot of good units like VA Tech's defense and Auburn's attack but no absolutely dominate players like I've seen in the past. Granted I never saw FSU or Georgia but that's my opinion based on the teams I saw.

Fanning's number are definitely impressive. Especially given the fact that he's a Freshman. But FSU's Corey Noonan is also a Frosh and has Fanning by seventeen goals (ten points overall). I mean heck, he scored five against Div II CW Post.
Both are obviously off to a great start in their SELC careers.

Hugh, I would expect more out of you. The sun must be getting to you down there. Tim leads in PPG which points to the most consistent player. To be number one in this statistic, not goals nor assists, proves that you are the best player in the conference. Even better than that, Timmy has played 4 FEWER games than the mighty Casey, I mean Corey Noonan. To do more with less, proves Timothy's worthiness as the best player in the SELC.
Each player is off to a terrific start, and I wish them both the best.

Yeah, I saw that. But the PPG difference is .56 points where the games played difference is four games.
The bottom line is, I would take either in next year's inaugural fantasy lacrosse league.
by the way...no sun , still rocking the Irish tan.
