Great game. Tied at 3... URI went up 5-3... SC came back to 6-5 and both teams had man-up opportunities at the end but SC was able to hold them off with great D and goaltending.

WOW! UCONN?
congrats huskies..tough loss for NU, but I am sure they will rebound.
This years PCLL playoffs are going to be insane. While there have been a lot of blowouts in the regular season, it seems like there have also been a lot of close games amongst the top teams.

Northeastern's Summary Review of game.
"After switching to the poorly lit Depot grass/mud field, both teams had a tough time seeing the ball, which made for sloppy play at times. Northeastern struck first, going up 2-0, but UcONN never folded, with the score 3-2 after the first quarter, and 6-4 at the half. In the third quarter, neither team was able to score, even though UCONN seemed to have the ball for at least 12 minutes of possesion time, as everytime NU was about to get possesion, and foul was called giving the ball back to UCONN. Craig Sini and the rest of the defense played amazing that quarter, not allowing any goals. In the fourth, UCONN outscored NU 3-1, including the game tying goal with 1:12 left to play. It took three overtimes, with each team having a few scoring opportunites before UCONN scored from a goal up top to win. IN all, NU had 15 penalties in the game totaling 12 minutes and thirty seconds."
We have all played on bad fields, I remember NE fields last year were not much better... As for the high amount of penalties being called. When you hold the ball you tend to draw penalties. UConn was able to slow down Northeasterns quick paced offense by keeping the ball in their possession. Lets remember that UConn also had 10 penalties. From what I have seen and heard officiating has been extremely liberal in giving penalties this year. Maybe they see something I don't.. I do have to say I do like this new rule that, once a penalty is called the ball does not go dead once it is dropped..
GO UConn... Lax on.

The summary doesn't have any complaining, just statements of facts from the game. If you read it, it says both teams had difficulty with the field situations. Regarding the penalties, I was trying to point out how well the defense played seeing as tehy were man down for almost an entire quarter. If you would like to give your own recap of the game, then feel free to do so.

You are correct
I apologize. My comment were over the top. Often the tendency of the losing team to blame the officials, or the field, anything to justify the outcome of the games gets the winning team fired up. Your synopsis was correct and did not include a biased opinion. As you can see I am new to the forum.<waterboy> However, I feel UConn deserves and has earned more respect from those doubters in the league. Some of the other facts of the game such as UConn's also high number of penalties was critical.. Kudos to Northeasterns Man down.. Amazing play.

This then puts New Hampshire, UConn, and Northeastern in a three-way tie for first place correct?
This should then put a lot of importance on the UConn vs. BC game. If BC wins, then northeastern would take first place over new hampshire (head to head win), but if UConn wins, it would go to goal differential in games i believe. The rest of the season should be interesting. Any thoughts on how it'll turn out?
