At least for the past few years the SWLL is like the men's tournament. 3v6 & 4v5 on Friday, winners vs 1 & 2 on Sat, then championship on Sunday. Although they do play 2 games in one day a lot due to less funding in general.

1/4's
That is something I am trying to persuade others to consider. I like what the WCLL has- a quarter final weekend so that NO team has to play 3 games- partially for competition but more for travel issues and missing school/work.
I am all for more teams in the play offs but the league needs to commit to a quarter final extra weekend where some teams one week out will have to make travel arrangements. Its tough, but once in place can work and allow more teams the chance and allow us the chance to still have a facility like Northview host us.
As for different or more divisional games.... I do not like this. we can not predict which league will be tougher than others each year. The wild card helps, but with OOC games it makes it tough for teams and with RISING officials fees where is the ceiling on this.
just some food for thought

A quarter final weekend would also allow for easier expansion to 8 teams if they want to go that route. 2 from each of the 3 divisions and 2 at-large, or split into 4 divisions, or back to 2. There's lots of room to maneuver if necessary.

For the Record
For the record, Davidson did qualify for the tournament in 2004. However, they did not come to Atlanta and forced the remaining 3 teams into a round robin format for the championship.
Is there any news on the seedings/bracket for the 2006 tourney?

FSU is the top seed and with the win today, UGA has secured the No. 2 Seed.
Seed #3 = Va Tech
Seed #4 = Wake Forest
Seed #5 = Florida
Seed #6 = Georgia Tech/Central Florida/Auburn
Division A Semi's shape up like this:
FSU will play the Wake/Florida winner on Saturday
UGA will play the VT vs. GT/UCF/AU winner on Saturday
