i also feel like texas state should be considered one of the dominant teams in the lsa as we're undefeated in conference and #1 in the south

Texas State's goalie is a Junior, correct?

No, it is most likely that our D shuts down your offense so that Zach can nap in the crease without being disturbed by any shots.... Is this topic really still being discussed. Seriously find something a little more constructive to do with your time, or even better why don't you discuss another topic. For instance, some teams type in stats for there goalies that are much more absurd than miscalculating a few saves. I think it is funny that there are some teams that lose a game and don't record any goals against for there goalies. They only record saves and not goals against!?!? Talk about padding your stats!!!

And if you still don't think Zach is capable of making that many saves then why don't you try this. Come to Lubbock with a bag of balls and practice shooting on him. I am sure he wouldnt mind taking the time to school you critics.

Zach is the best goalie in the LSA. I have played with him in summer league, and seen him and others play the four years that I have been in the LSA and he is the best Goalkeeper in the league.

1. His ability to make saves is uncanny. He plays like he knows where the ball is going before the shooter knows. He makes saves that you think no one should be able to make. Makes the incredible save just as easy as the routine save.

2. His leadership is unmatched. Throw the awards out the window. He is the loudest person on the defensive end of the field, and literally leads his defense. Leading a defense leads to saves. The better you are at leading the d the more routine saves you can make.

3. His ability to clear the ball. He has the ability to start the fast break or take his time and beat the zone ride.

Their is more to being a goalie that just making saves, and Zach does everything you would want your goalie to do; make saves, lead the team, clear the ball.

Not to say the guys at TAMU, Rice, UT, Tx State, aren't good, but Zach has been the best the last four years (save for maybe when David Alter was in goal for UT).

SMU has two freshmen goalies that switched off playing time for us this year. Mike Tessier & Taylor Hillis will be forces in the league. Mark my words.
