LSA Goalies?
Now that the season is more than half way over. I would like to bring up a topic that was posted earlier this season. I'm sure we all have witnessed som big saves and goalies doing incredible things in and out of the crease. I just wanted hear some of your opinions on the goalies in the LSA and what makes them impressive. Also your opinion on the top 3 goalies for LSA "A" division?

The Rice goalie (I don't know his name) had a big game against us. He should be an allstar but probably won't be since Rice doesn't post their stats.

In my opinion, the best goalie in the LSA is Mike Galvin (TSU goalie). I've seen all the big teams play, and the only one who comes close is, of course, Tech's goalie. However, I think Mike's knowledge of the game, his stopping ability, and his command over the defense makes him a much better goalie. There's more to being a goalie than just stopping shots, and he epitomizes that.

Garrett Cox is an incredible goalie and always seems to be there to make some great saves..especially when a player has a one on one with him. Winston Taylor has shown alot of improvement and heart as goalie for us. He has step his game up alot this year with the fact he has a starting defense that consist of 2 guys who have never played before and one guy who has experience. I haven't played against Kurzweil this year or Mike G. from TSU..but I remember last year they did an outstanding job..but there still are more games to be played

Zach Kurzweli is the best goalie in the LSA. you dont need to tell me that good D makes for good goalies, but 30+ stop games speak for themselves.

Yep, making saves on shots that weren't even on cage is a specfic talent, but what is a real talent is having more saves than the opposing teams Shot Total! Now that is real magic!

30 + a game? that must be new thing because he's never done that against us A&M tourney or regular season, i guess that we must be the exception

I think there's already a pretty big thread discussing whether or not Mizzou players are flawless stat keepers, so i'm going to ignore that old-hat comment. If you'd like to try and argue that Zach isn't a dominant player and awesome goalie then please be my guest

73???? Are you insane?
I counted 68. Landon you're crazy.
An interesting topic I heard brought up was that the goalies for the 3 dominant LSA teams (TAMU, TU, and Tech) are all in their last year of play (to the best of my knowledge). I wonder what this might mean for these teams?

actually i believe tamu's goalie is a sophmore if i remember corectly. it will be interesting to see who tech has take has to take zach's place, i know UT has a pretty able backup.
i also feel like texas state should be considered one of the dominant teams in the lsa as we're undefeated in conference and #1 in the south
