I remember watching Tech play a few seasons ago on a dirt lot next to the Rec Center? Is your alternate field in the same condition? I am sure it will be a run and gun game, if I remember correctly players were unable to catch-up to ground balls cause there was no grass to slow em down, and they usually just rolled outta bounds.

What is going to be the wind speed out at the field (at Texas Tech) y'all will be playing Saturday?

Well up at Tech we finally got some rain a few weeks ago after a v. long drought. So, no real grass, but the fields that we are playing on are in better condition than those next to the rec fields. i.e. there is still grass on the ground holding down most of the dirt, and not holes from all of the flag football games that hold priority to the Rec fields over us. And Brent as for the wind....Well I would prefer not to go outside today, but tomorrow (and Sat for that matter) could be completely different. Forecast says 69 degrees, sunny and a comfortable 16 mph from the NE.
For an extra side note. The sky to the west is a nice reddish brown today. Very inviting.

Rather then spending money on flying down here to "give me a whoopin", why don't you send the money to your team so they can buy a calendar to mark down when they have a game to play

The field is good ... too good, in fact, for even 1/10 of an inch of rain.
But when does that ever happen?

The game tonight should be fun to watch. If youre in the dallas area, you should stop and watch it. Last years game was a nailbiter, and I am hoping tonights lives up to the billing.
At the very least, you should show up for the SMU girls.

What the Flock? You would have better luck praying for a reunion tour from the '...Seagulls', which I think everyone would enjoy more...less the smu team [/quote]

yeagy,
from what I hear, it was just a scrimmage, not an official league game, so dont worry, you'll have other chances to pad your stats. Not that UTA was right in no-showing for the game, but they were having coaching issues earlier in the season that have since been resolved, besides, not like you didnt know what the outcome of the game was gonna be anyway.

SMU was up 11-6 at the end of the third quarter. UNT scored 6 unanswered goals in the 4th quarter before SMU scored again tying the score at 12. UNT scored two more then SMU scored with about 30 seconds left to get within one. SMU won the last faceoff but couldn't put the ball in the goal.
Final score - UNT 14, SMU 13
Final score - UNT 14, SMU 13
