I just find it kind of humorous, all of the comments about how bad the Warrior shafts are, since in the annals of lacrosse equipment history - that's how Warrior got started! Dave Morrow's dad was in the metals business, and Dave extruded some titanium into lax shafts - the first on the market and pretty revolutionary for the time. Those that used aluminum know how they would get twisted into corkscrews very rapidly after a few hard checks.
Now Warrior seems to have evolved into the Empire!

just got the stx scandium. i already played with it in 3 games and it held up much better than i expected. I got a very slight bend in it but other shafts would have bent much worse from what i did to it (attackman fell on top of it and i pried it out from underneath him). I would recomend it, its very cheap at about $120 too.

while I myself do not own it, my brother and several people i played high school with have nothing but great things to say about the STX scandium. I think my brother has had his for about 5-6 years and i think it is still going strong. If I were to get a D-shaft, it would be the Scandium.

STX Ultra Alloy is the best defensive shaft. This shaft hasn't been produced since about 1999 or so, but it is the best if you can find one. It was a solid gold shaft that is indestructable. You can still find a few on the field and none of them will have more than a slight dent.

Along those same lines, I have a STX alloy 6000 that I filled with sand to use as a training stick in the winter. That thing is to attackmen what clear windows are to birds.

I had an old brine F15 for a few years and it held up great till one day it bent. then i got an STX scandium and it bent pretty badly in less than a week. since then i have bent many titanium shafts and so i finally switched to the harrow d-poles. as for the comment about the coating chipping off...i see no problem with that, mine has about as many chips as you can get in a season but the shaft is still in great shape, if anything the chips give you better grip.

I miss the old F15s. They would last you 3 years, then bent and you could go pick up another for $45. ANyone know if they have an alloy similar to the F15s anymore. And what they might of named it this time.

the brine ignite series replaced the F series...i think it goes: ignite, optra, supra for the F10, F15, and F22 respectively
But i haven't heard many good things about this line

I'm pretty sure the ignite series replaced the F15, F22, & F55. My 1st year supra has the C55 logo decal on it. It's a lot lighter than my 2 F22s and has held up pretty well. I would consider getting another one.
