I wonder where Billy Donovan has been hiding Noah. That kid is a player. The refs certainly let them play tonight.
Florida joins a very select group of Div. 1 teams that have won the NCAA national championship in men's basketball and at least a share of a major football national championship. The others: UCLA, Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Maryland, and (as I read yesterday in USA Today) Syracuse.
Congrats to the Gators!

The only two of this elite group have won the NCAA Div. 1 lacrosse championships- Maryland and Syracuse. I did not watch the game, yet the score really shows how decisive the Gators were. Did they pan to Yannick Noah tonight when Joakim and his boys won the title?

I assume you mean blocks. He tied the record for most blocks in a championship game IN THE FIRST HALF ALONE.

Actually he broke the record in the first half. The old record was 4 blocks (not blacks by the way LMAO @ me) in a game and he had 5 blocks at half time. Does anyone know how many blocks he had for the entire game?

Feel you on that. It was over by half and I didn't really care even at that point...

i enjoyed every boring second. except for that one point where the 7 footer dunked on noah from the inbound.
hopefully Joakim will stick around because;
A) he's already filthy rich.
B) he seems to be enjoying the college experience.

He's already said that he'll be back - "I don't need the money and I'm having a great time in college!" Refreshing.

That Noah kid seems full of himself... I'm not in to that. I was pro-Florida until he started winking at the camera and acting like a tool. I hate coaching kids like him.
Regardless, I'm still happy Florida won. Bill Donovan seems like a sharp guy... not to mention that he played at Providence College. How can you hate a man from PC?

I bet anyone that coaches anything would love to coach Noah. Nothing wrong with some swagger. Did yall see when he was inbounding the ball and he was winking and blowing kisses at the UCLA cheerleaders behind him? Awesome.

I coach things and I don't want to coach Noah. It's not swagger, it's bad attitude. Don't even get me started on the winking at cheerleaders like he's the greatest thing ever...

I know that Pitino once coached PC and he and Donovan knew each other. It is interesting that both have won the national championships. Would I be wrong to say that all roads lead to Providence to win national championships at other schools?
