Another Sport Leapfrogs Lacrosse on ESPN

Postby Daniel Morris on Sat Apr 01, 2006 4:13 pm

After Luck With Poker, ESPN Bets on New York Dominoes

So, let see if I have this right. Getting lacrosse coverage on ESPN is like pulling teeth, but they declare the next big spectator sport to be...dominoes.

I hate televison.

Don't forget about ESPN's crown jewel of unneccesary television, competitive eating.

i saw the arm wrestling..... they had like 10 refs for the event....

also i wish you could just have regular cable and trade out channels you dont use for ones you want.
i would trade out QVC and WE for ESPNU and CSTV

What else could we have expected out of ESPN, the precedent was set when the SCRABBLE championships were aired. With the stunning above-the-table camera angles and nifty rotating Scrabble board, the possibilities with Dominoes are endless. Imagine the sponsorship potential???? Budweiser dominoe pieces anyone?

From here, the sky's the limit. Competitive JENGA you say?? Perhaps the Connect Four National Championships.

Oh ESPN, you really do put the Entertainment in "Entertainment and Sports Programming Network."

I was sitting the other day and noticed another sport that has leapfrogged lacrosse, it goes by the name of WJF.

This is not a Jesus thing, it stands for the "World Juggling Federation", I have seen more of juggling and pool games than lacrosse on Espn.

Why is that so, isn't ESPN north eastern, the birthplace of lacrosse in the US?

I think it's "Where da gold at" but that's some funny ish. I almost bought a shirt with the eye-witness drawing and the quote on it.
