End of 1st qtr

North Texas 6

Baylor 3

Stay tuned...

Halftime now:

North Texas 9

Baylor 10

End of 3rd qtr: North Texas 11 Baylor 11

FINAL: North Texas 16 Baylor 11

With Baylor's total number of 14 players, they fought hard until they ran out of gas that allowed UNT score the last 5 goals. Kudos to both teams that battled hard to the finish.

The weather was "picture perfect" with the temps in 80s with occasional light winds, and there was a good number of UNT and BU fans out there.

UNT/Baylor sounds it was a great game! Great effort on Baylor's part with a limited squad, but you have to give a lot of credit to UNT putting up 5 unanswered goals. If SMU is able to get by Baylor tomorrow, it looks like that #3 playoff spot in the North will come down to Friday's game between Karl's boys and SMU.

I was really impressed with how well Baylor played. With only 14-15 guys you would think they would be burned out by the 3rd or so, no way....they ran hard til the last second.

It was a closer game then the score shows. Both teams played horrible defense in the first half, hence the 19 goals scored....but we gave them 1 goal in the 3rd and shut them out in the 4th.

This is a fact because I got an official text message from Okla. State head coach:

OSU 4 Austin College 3

Keep this in mind that AC played back to back games today- first against OU and then OSU.

The last LSA game of today is SFA playing at UTA tonight.

Number 11

Postby PinkSnappa21 on Sat Apr 01, 2006 10:27 pm

Number 11 from Baylor played balls to the wall and if this is his last season he is def. trying to leave a mark in the LSA. Seemed like everytime I was able to relax a little in the goal he would be charging at the goal splitting 3 defenders ripping shots or dishing the ball out to teammates around the crease. Big reason why Baylor did as well as they did. most impressed with his ability to play the whole game and barely rest.

I agree with you, PinkSnappa21, about #11 on the Baylor team. He really motors without taking a breather. Although I did see him come in to get his second wind before going back to the field, he really has that amazing stamina. Not only that, he does have excellent stick handling that can boggle your mind. Just did a quick check on Baylor's schedule/roster, and #11 would be Andrew Brochu, and he is a sophomore.
