Whoever says Florida boys can’t play lacrosse in the sleet obviously missed the game between the Seminoles and the Virginia Tech Hokies that took place on Saturday, March 25 at the University of North Carolina’s Henry Field.

Great game that went into overtime in the snow. Thanks to Davidson for coming up and playing in the cold.

Our road trip through virginia wasn't what we'd hoped for.
We got on our bus at 7:45 and a little under 2 hours later Southern Virginia calls us to say they've cancelled our game. Not that they are going to cancel the game, but that they already have. They claimed they had 4 inches of snow on the ground. The problem with them cancelling prior to talking to us was that Liberty would have let us use their turf field as an alternate site, but trying to get the situation with the referees worked out, among other things, kept delaying everything until it was too late to play. To make matters worse, one of our players fathers was already near SVU, and went by their field, and described it as "having snow on the ground, but you could see the grass through it."
Our only open dates the rest of the season are sunday's (which SVU can't play on for religious reasons) and weeknights, which are problematic since our two schools are about 4+ hours apart.
The only good thing to happen saturday was that we got a chance to watch Lynchburg play Washington and Lee. That was a good game, complete with a goalie hitting a long goal and a come from behind win.
Sunday things weren't much better for UNC Charlotte. We came out and played liberty hard in the first half keeping it close at 5-4. The second half came and we just fell apart. We couldn't get our guys to run the offense and we couldn't get our Def. to calm down and be patient on clears. Liberty absolutely took it to us in the second half, #3, Adam Ungaro played amazing, as did a number of other guys on that squad.
Notables on our team were Freshman attackman Colin Wauchope who scored 4 goals for the third time this season, 3 of which were assisted by Junior Midfielder G.T. Hobday. I have to give credit to Liberty's defense who held John Metcalfe to 1 goal and 1 assist.

Congrads on holding them scoreless for the rest of the game. That is quite an accomplishment.

Cal - 6
Score was 10-3 at the start of the 4th quarter. Cal closed to 6-10 I believe and then Tech put in 2 more. Tech hit the Cal goalie in the thigh or leg on 3 or 4 1v1 situations.
