My guess is the 8 goal loss to UCLA might be in the back of some voters minds. Plus the one goal loss to ASU. With your argument, how are they so far ahead of UCLA? Then Michigan State would wonder why they were behind UCLA. Then Chapman would wonder why they were behind State. Then we could throw ASU and Loyola M. into the argument. And then it just gets really annoying. Just because you beat a team doesn't mean you should automatically be ahead of them. Sometimes it just happens that way.

Just so no one gets defensive, I'm in no way saying Chapman should or should not be ahead of Arizona. Just trying to make a point.

Because LU is undefeated. And that after playing multiple ranked teams. You watch, LU will still be defeated after this weekend. I predict an upset against Michigan, and Arizona and BC have nothing. Naysayers beware. If anything, I'm not impressed with Oregon or Colorado. Lindenwood will be ranked about number 5 or 6 by the end of the season, and at most will have one loss (although I think undefeated)

Just curious, have you actually seen either of these 2 teams play?

This is really simple in my eyes... The Final Poll is great because it has all the information (games played) available, and we can use it all. Right now, we have 1/2 the information, and we're trying to make a perfect poll, that gets destroyed each week with the new info... Regionally voters have a better idea of what teams were playing up one day, and down the next, hence the many differences in polls (such as my current division B poll with Montana at #1). Obviously some people vote their conference higher than they should, but who's right? We'll find out in Texas, and the later in the season the poll gets, the more accurate it becomes. Complaining now is great as it brings attention to some voters that may have missed a game or two, but in the end, its just whining... You may or may not affect a voter two.. There are a lot of games, sometimes we miss things....

If they upset Michigan, I will be the first to say they deserve their ranking. Hopefully it is a good game.

No, but I saw their scores against Missouri and Texas. Both teams should have won by 10 or more against unranked teams.

Um, excuse me, but Lindenwood has one convincing win (Eastern Michigan) in 7 games.

- 14-9 over Auburn, who is 6-5.

- 11-7 over SMU, who is 1-4. Texas Tech beat SMU by 2 goals in their season opener and I believe Tech has improved over the course of the year, while Lindenwood played SMU recently. This certainly does not help validate Lindenwood having a high ranking.

- 13-8 over Oakland, who is 4-1, yet does not have any wins over ranked teams.

- 12-9 over Northeastern, who is 2-1.

- 13-11 over Illinois, who is 2-1 and not ranked.

- 19-4 over Eastern Michigan, who is 1-7.

- 14-10 over Minnesota!!!! Minnesota lost to Cal Poly 21-7 and Minnesota lost to LMU 10-7!!! FYI, LMU is 3-7. This close win really illustrates why Lindenwood should not be ranked in the top 10.

I have seen all these teams play, and IMO you are way off base. In fact, I saw Lindenwood play Colorado last year at the tourney and Colorado was head & shoulders better than Lindenwood and returned almost their entire squad. Lindenwood had offensive talent, but their defense was suspect and was exposed at the tourney. Perhaps before you start making disparaging statements about other teams, it would be wise to have actually seen them in person and gain some actual knowledge in order to properly judge them.

If anything Lindenwood is over rated at # 10. CU definitely returned the vast majority of their team from last year, they graduated 4 roleplayers.

Not a big deal but the score of that game was Oakland 10 Lindenwood 14. LU is a good team, Troy has a good thing going in St. Charles. This weekend will be a true test for the Lions, I wish them the best as well as the rest of the teams this weekend.

I also think CU is better then what they are ranked, but that just me what do I know. John has a lot of retuning players as well, and they are playing some good ball right now.

Lastly its still early, there is still a lot of lacrosse to be played!

I have decided that in an effort to shut-up the LU fans that I will be voting LU #1 for the rest of the year, no matter how bad they get beat this week. Also on account of TheLoo, I will be dropping Oregon and Colorado from the top 10.
Here is my new Poll
1 - Lindenwood
2 - BYU (I guess that because they are my favorite team that they are the best)
3 - CSU
4 - Michigan
5 - Sonoma
6 - Florida State
7 - SMU (They played LU close)
8 - Virginia Tech
9 - UCSD
10 - Utah (I have some friends on the team)

What The Loo does not want to think about is Lindenwood losing to either or both Arizona and BC. If that happens, Lindenwood would probably be a weak AQ, seeded around #15 or 16 and draw CSU or Sonoma in the first round.
Loo, you better pray that Lindenwood finishes 2-1.
