Charges dropped against Debra Lafave
So incase you didn't hear, the charges have been dropped against Debra Lafave (the teacher who had sex with a 14 year-old student of hers) because the family didn't want to put the child (now 16) through the strain of a trial. Personally, I have a hard time believing that the kid isn't going around bragging about it due to the fact that she is quite attractive. I wouldn't be surprised if a commercial was in the works or something.

they didn't feel comfortable pressing charges when the father of the victim and the victim still can't stop hi-fiving.

Oh, I forgot to mention that she apparently has bi-polar disorder, and thats what caused he to do this. Question for any lawyers out there, can I do something then blame it on my ADD to get off the hook?

I dont know about you guys....but I NEVER had a teacher that cool.
Anybody catch a glimse of her new fiancee'? The really strange part about that is that they met during this whole ordeal, and they still managed to work it out and get engaged.
"Mom, I would like for you to meet my fiancee', Deborah, and she may look familiar to you"

I never had a steady girlfriend like you, but I did get kicked in the balls once by a mule.

I'm never one to knock a mental illness, but I'm a little unsure of her argument that bipolar disorder had a hand in this. They also had a poll question on cnn.com..........."Was a gender bias involved in this decision?"
I may be going out on a limb here, but I would have to say yes!

Great mug shots.....................now there's a forum topic with entertainment value.
Looks like Nick used a little too much of the, "Something about Mary hair gell". I would difinitly agree that her mug shot wouldn't have looked to bad. She looked great in her press conference.

If a male teacher molested a 14-yd old female student, I think they would fire up old Sparky in Tallahassee.

Willing or not, it doesn't matter in this case or any other. Yes, sometimes age is only a number, but not when it comes to kids. If this was a man.................it wouldn't even have hit the back page in the national media.
You are correct. No doubt! The lights would have dimmed in most states for a few seconds. If a male teacher molested a 14-yd old female student, I think they would fire up old Sparky in Tallahassee.
