1. Sonoma
2. UCSD
3. UCSB
All three are almost gauranteed a bid to nationals. Can the WCLL get 4 or 5 teams in.
4. Cal Poly (with their recent OT losses, do they need to beat Oregon, and make a run in the playoffs to earn a bid)
5. Arizona (tough schedule with 3 top ten teams ahead has the most chance to move up significantly)
6. Chapman (loss to UCLA will hurt them down the stretch as they will miss the playoffs and a chance to make some noise, need to beat FSU to have a shot at a bid and need teams to falter)
7. UCLA (need to make a serious run in the playoffs as there is not much else on the schedule)
9. Chico (not much left on the schedule also need to make a run in the playoffs assuming they get past davis)
8. ASU (See Arizona)
Ranking The WCLL

I would say that there's a respectable chance at 4 teams, and that 5 might be a real stretch. The signs of hope are that:
1) Minnesota Duluth is higher than 13
2) WCLL bubble teams are generally assured additional strength of schedule based on WCLL playoffs
3) (I don't know if I should write this for fear of being gunned down) The SELC may only be getting two teams in for nationals. They're in good shape now, but if they only get in two, it opens up a spot.

Why would you rank Arizona ahead of Chapman, they lost to them by 8 points. Was the game considered a fluke, furthermor this team has matched up better against top ranked opponents than CP. Leading the entire game in the UCSD ot loss, and leading in the 4th quarter of the UCSB ot loss... something CP failed to accomplish this year. Also the 7 goal victory over Utah, a team which both Arizona and CP failed to beat.
Now I can see some speculation with Cal Poly ahead of them, they beat them bottom line. But Arizona got beat bad with no excuses, Chapman shouldn't be behind them

Was UCLA beating Chapman by 8 a fluke???? You can call it a let down after losing to a tough one to Poly the night before, but 8 goals??
You could make the same case for UCLA being ahead of Chapman as they blew them out.
How do you weigh Chapmans solid showing against a team like UCSB and UCSD vs. their showing against UCLA and ASU???
I took the perspective also of who has the best chance to make the tourny of the teams outside the top 3.
Arizona perhaps with their games against 4 top 10 teams left.
Poly and Arizona also have a quality win against a top 10 team on their resume. Something Chapman doesn't.
Unfortunate Chapman probably won't make the playoffs, they'd be a dangerous team to have to face. Hopefully they can make a statement and beat FSU. But you'd have to consider them a long shot to make the tournament.

I feel that ranking ASU that low is crazy. They have already beaten Chapman. Regardless of what else Chapman has done, a win is a win is a win.
Plus, Chico hasn't shown much this season

Chapman
With cal poly losing and arizona getting blown out by michigan, If Chapman keeps winning Chapman will slide into that 4th spot in the WCLL and get an at large bid. Thats if 4 teams go from the WCLL which at this point i think is reasonable, maybe probable. I dont think any low seeds want to draw Chapman.

CATLAX is right- and I think FSU also has to win today against VTech. Chapman is moving the right direction in the polls, but not fast enough to make an AL bid. There's no assurance that being in the fourth spot in the wcll ensures an AL bid. Chapman is, for all intents and purposes, not going to make wcll playoffs. They are in a very long-odds situation of making them, and need a win over an FSU team that has finished it's season strong.

3 WCLL: SSU AQ, UCSD, UCSB
3 RMLC: CSU, BYU, Colorado
1 CCLA: Michigan AQ
1 GRLC: Lindenwood AQ
1 SELC: FSU AQ
1 LSA: Texas AQ
1 UMLL: UMD AQ
1 PNCLL: Oregon AQ
1 PCLL: Northeastern AQ
That takes care of 13 spots out of 16.
* If there are no weaker conference championship upsets;
* If Utah, Cal Poly, Va Tech, Ga Tech, and Arizona all falter.
Then Chapman has a shot at one of the last 3 spots, if they beat FSU.
It seems like a long shot to me, but it is possible.
