A four-goal loss to a perennially solid Div A squad is nothing to hang the head about. It sounds like there were some effective halftime adjustments, or the Wolfpack just had more legs in the fourth quarter.

Congrats to NCSU on the win, and to Davidson for moving in the right direction. I will pretty much guarranty that NCSU will beat some Div A opponents by a larger margin this year.

Good luck.

no spring break yet, but close. for some reason our school decides to have spring break the last week of february into early march despite student body complaints. go figure.

congrats to NC State

Let me second my co-captain's comments about NC State -- they played much more aggressively in the second half, and really shut down our attack from feeding. They have a large team -- must have been 40 guys on the sidelines 27 in the book, but seemed to be more on the sidelines, walking wounded, etc. And I don't think it was our team that let up -- I believe in the old dictum that for a win, it's the team's success, and for a loss, it's the coach's fault -- and I made some mistakes, especially not calling an early third quarter time out.

Good luck Wolfpack in Atlanata.

dclax5 wrote:the +8 nc state prediction is not giving us enough credit in my opinion but thats ok. the game was relatively close until they got a string of fourth quarter goals to pull ahead. they are a solid team and their organization is the best ive seen in a while. looking forward to conference play in a few weeks.

I don't mean any disrespect. I don't know what I'm talking about. It's not like I have any sort of scientific measurement for my predictions. I just think it's fun. I wish everyone else had meaningless picks as well.

FINAL Box Score from 2nd game at ACC Shootout in Atlanta:
FSU: 8 - 7 - 6 - 5 = 26
Wake: 0 - 1 - 0 - 0 = 1

GT 8, NC State 7 final in the first contest. GT had a 2 goal lead with 5 minutes left. NC State scored with 14 seconds left in regulation to pull within one goal. The Pack won the next faceoff but threw the ball away and couldn't score the tying goal.
