I agree with the Texas deserving to be ranked statement. They are a solid team with a lot of drive. Any team that can post a win on a respectable UMD team deserves some props in the form of a top 25 bid. On the topic of the Oregon Ducks I feel that only time will tell the potential for those dudes. After posting huge numbers with every man on that roster, the Ducks are ready to fly. I'd say top 5 on Wednesday morning.

Um, you misinterpreted that. Oregon beat UMD 13-4, not Texas.

don't forget texas travelled to oregon to play in cold weather a couple nights in a row. and they also played tough against a colorado team that seems to hover in dispute with oregon. oregon state may sneak into the rankings as well making texas' loss to osu less surprising as both teams seem to be on the brink of the polls.

Another overlapping win.

UCLA beat Chapman, who beat Michigan State by 5, who beat UCLA by 3.

Cal Poly beat Chapman by 4, Utah beat Cal Poly by 1, Chapman beat Utah by 7

Michigan beat UCSB by 3, BYU beat Michigan by 1, UCSB beat BYU by 1

It seems to be an endless cycle of these this time around, making this poll even harder to figure out.

I think, although not being a voter myself, that the most recent games should be considered with more precident than games near the beggining of the season. As the season is about halfway through teams are beggining to and/or have found themselves. For example I'm pretty sure if the Utah of this past weekend played Chapman the outcome would be, at least, a little less lopsided and I'm almost positive they would beat Chico. All of this is philosophic jargon I understand but the I guess I think the most current polls should represent the most current scores.

I pitty the fools that gotta vote!!!!!

In pulling together my message board poll vote, I actually found that this vote was a lot easier than the last one. Yes, there are some conflicting scores, but the relative placement of the teams were a lot easier IMO.

I preface this post with the statement I'm doing it exclusively to rib CLM in a good natured way.

Finally someone realizes that BYU is imporving drastically. Despite some bad losses early they have started to put it together and pulled out 2 big wins over FSU and GT this weekend. They are getting ready to make a run and CSU, SSU, and Oregon better be ready because they are really starting to play

Duluth shouldn't be that high even with wins against Utah and Poly. Both Utah and Poly had illegal stick penalties at the end of the games. I'll give it to them they're good but not eleven good. We'll see tommorrow, eh?[/img]

That happened during the game, right? They won, didn't they? Are they not supposed to get credit for winning?

If it sounded like I was downplaying their wins by no means was that what I was trying to do. I was at the games and if Duluth is #11 then Utah and Poly are #12 and #13. Actually that sounds about right. 3 OT games at a neutral site. How could you not pack 'em together. I guess if 11 is where others see them then my main thing is to make sure Poly and Utah are right there with 'em cause those games were tight and Duluth proved themselves as the better team.

I'd be a crappy politician.

Well thats just plain never gonna happen. None of these teams are on the west coast, so they will never be that high :D. I love this by the way.

I gotta agree with you there. They definately showed their potential this last week, but a jump of 7? I could see them more around the 13-14 range in my opinion. But im not a pollster, probably for good reason.
