B Teams, IUP Hype?
Just wondering how the CCLA-B teams are looking, is IUP going to come out stronger then last year, did they lose anyone get any new key players? or Is Calvin going to run over them again this year in the playoffs. How is Dayton and Carnegie Mellon looking?

Some thoughts:
1. Calvin will be solid, like always, but might have an uphill battle because of graduation and the rest of the league catching up talent-wise. They have a great national reputation because they have earned it, but that doesn't mean that they are the outright favorite. IUP, on paper, returns more of their team from last year, and they defeated Calvin in the regular season, leading me to believe that they are as good as Calvin.
2. IUP is an interesting team. They play the BARE minimum on their schedule. When we play them, they are clearly a very talented team, but I think that there schedule hurts them in the long run, and makes them vulnerable.
3. The rest of the league, and I mean the rest of the league, are right there with these teams. Grand Valley State is an up and coming team. Carnegie Mellon handily beat Taylor the other day. Dayton has shown that they are near the top. Our team at Grove City, we beat Carnegie Mellon 15-3 last year, and lost to Calvin 14-13 last season, and we feel that we are right in that group contending in the CCLA. I don't know much about Ferris St. (we beat them 12-9 last year), but it seems that they have earned the right to be considered a strong contender too.
So, at this point, I've only left out Hope, Taylor, and UM Dearborn from my list of strong contenders. We haven't heard anything about Hope or Dearborn yet, and Taylor has plenty of time to regain their form from last year.
This is anybody's league to take!!!
