Tavis MCarthy scores a man-up goal for Montana to push the lead to 15-12 for the Grizz. Sounds like that one might be the back-breaker for the Lutes...

Townsend Hall commits a slash, and PLU scores on EMO, narrowing the score to 15-13 for Montana. The Lutes just won't go away quietly in this one...

Final
Montana 18
PLU 14
Thanks to Jason and Kyle for all the updates. Sounds like a whale of a game, PLU scored about 8 EMO goals to stay in the contest.

Jason had to leave after the first quarter to play "Mr. Mom" to his two young children. Kyle, the bachelor, took over the phoning from the sidelines to start the second...

Jason actually had a very important tennis match to go to...
Fun game, PLU is upping their level of play. 32 goals scored was not what I was expecting. The mud did slow the game down a bit, but so did the PLU LSM/FOGO Wes. He was dominant at the X with his long pole and great between the lines.
The game was physical, but Montana had some un-necessary penalties that PLU's EMO made them pay for. If Montana plans on making it through the playoffs to Texas, they'll have to clean up some of their play and keep their heads on straight. 15 minutes of penalties can easily translate into 10 easy goals for their opponents come playoff time, much like it did today.
Quote of the game from a Montana attackmen,
"Feels like I'm running on sand here!"

The LSM/FOGO for the Lutes is named Matt Weurfful, not Wes. . .for the record. He faces off with the long pole and rarely loses the draw - especially in the mud like today.
Great game. . .Montana definitely had trouble keeping their feet beneath them in the mud, and often lost their heads in a very physical game. I look forward to these teams meeting up again on a neutral field in April. . .
