Matt Lynn, who was an integral part of the UCSB 2003 WCLL championship team and the 2004 UCSB national championship team, was recently diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor. Matt was starting law school this fall. Matt underwent successful brain surgery today. We wish him a speedy recovery.
Players and friends can send good wishes (via the guestbook) and follow Matt's recovery at:

Looks like Matt's recovery is going well (no more tumor growth). It appears that another round of chemo starts tomorrow for Matt. He is working part-time and coaching youth lacrosse for Acalanes.
I encourage all lacrosse fans to drop by his site and sign the guestbook.

One of the highlights of the Sonoma v. UCSB game yesterday for me was to see Matt Lynn on the sidelines watching his former team play. It was great to talk to him, which I hadn't had a chance to do in some time. This young man should be an inspiration to people who are similarly afflicted with brain tumors. The only word that comes to mind here is courage.
He has a new website where updates are being posted. Keep checking in for updates. http://welovematt.com/updates/
