We just have a yahoo website for now. But there are changes on the horizon. As my health improves and we get everything moved out west by the first of the year. More and more changes and improvements are coming to the UNM Lobo Lacrosse Team. Thanks to Pete, James and Jeff
for all their help as we develop a first rate coaching staff for the University of New Mexico Lacrosse program.

It is going to take a year or so just to get in the USL MDIA and the Rocky Mountain Conference. But we will be there and in time a force to be dealt with. We have a great deal of support from the community and we are in the process of helping to form some High School and youth programs in the Central New Mexico region. I'm just excited about my 8 year old twin boys having a place to play. They have really developed some great sticks.

We had a scrimmage with Santa Fe Prep a High School program in Santa Fe, New Mexico. There were a lot of good things and a lot of things we have to work on. But we are on our way. Colorado School of Mines next Saturday.

How Many High School programs does NM have?

They did have 4 Highs School programs but 2 of them have folded.
There is a Club Team made up of several High Schools out of Santa Fe called Wolverines and Santa Fe Prep. Albuquerque Academy is about to start a program. A lot of their Players practice with us. They need a Coach badly. At Rio Rancho High School I have been told that as many as 20-25 kids have been on the field in full gear throwing around but nobody to coach them. There are a lot of folks transplanted here because of Intel that are from the Northeast. La Cuva High School which is in the nicest section of Town in Albuquerque has also had reports of interest and kids throwing around.

My health is back but it is one thing at a time. I still have days where I'm in bed all day. But overall I'm getting back to normal. Jeff and I would like to put together a High League with those Schools in Albuquerque along with another School Eldorado that had a program and folded. But we are way too busy and have our hands full with getting UNM up to MDIA level and then it will be an up hill road as we try to build a Division A Team in a Conference with Teams like Colorado, BYU, Colorado State and Utah not to mention an up and coming Utah State and Wyoming programs.

We just don't have the man power to do all the work out here and believe me the harvest is plenty but again no man power. In time New Mexico will have a great College team and maybe even expansion to New Mexico State. But we are in need of experience. There are a lot of kids that want to play the game out here but not enough folks to teach them.

That sounds great I have family that moved down to Whiterock 2 years ago. My wife and I have talked about moving to Albuquergue... no more winters.
Its the last warm non crazy expensive place close to Utah.

It looks like one would not be without lacrosse, as there is plenty of intrest.

We do get snow in the Winter. It may snow at night and then the sun comes out and melts it down in the day. I have seen several heavy snow storms in my Life in New Mexico on the same level if not worse then what I have seen in Carolina. In the Summer it will get hot maybe as much as 106 degrees in the day but at night goes down into the 50's. In the winter for the most part it is in the 50's. But we do have days like the game last week that was in the 70's. The High Desert does get cold so I will warn you we really don't compare to Arizona.

It does not get as hot as Arizona but because we are so high up the Sun can beat on you in the summer. There is no humidity. That part I don't miss about South Carolina. Also if you like Mexican Food this is the place to come.

You better come quick if you are coming my house has almost doubled in value since we left in 99 and the Californians are coming in droves and buying all the Real Estate. We are now having the same boom Denver had 10 years ago. Like everyone knows when those Californians find out about a good deal the prices go up. Just look at Phoenix and Las Vegas in the last 5 years. I was in Vegas in 97 working for a short while for US Air and was looking at houses and you could buy a Mansion at $150,000 Dollars. Today that same House will run you close to $500,000- $750,000 Dollars. Those Californians found out about Vegas and now they are coming to Albuquerque.
