Willamette forfeit vs. Boise State

The PNCLL Executive Board has deliberated regarding the Willamette Lacrosse forfeit vs. Boise State University. As previously stated, there is no tolerance in this league for forfeiture of contests. The executive board has strong concerns regarding the dedication and direction of the lacrosse program at Willamette.

The penalty imposed upon the Willamette Lacrosse Team is the following:

1. Willamette Lacrosse will be charged $250 to cover the costs of the officials for the game. With short notice of this forfeit, the officials were paid despite the fact that the game was cancelled. This fine will go directly to reimburse the Boise State Broncos for their portion of the game fees for the contest. This $250 charge will be credited to the Boise State account with the PNCLL and will be deducted from their fees for the 2007 season.

2. Willamette Lacrosse is required to pay $75 directly to Boise State Lacrosse to cover the field reservation costs they incurred while planning for this game.

3. The PNCLL Executive Board has also determined that a fine of $300 will be imposed upon Willamette Lacrosse.

4. Per our league By-laws, Willamette Lacrosse has been placed upon probation with the league. They are ineligible for playoffs this season, and may be voted out of the league at the next league meeting.

PNCLL Bylaws Article III
SECTION 3: Any Probationary Member that continues to fail to fulfill the obligations of a member of the League may, upon the recommendation of the Executive Board and by a two-thirds vote of the Full Members of the League at the Next Meeting, be expelled from the League.
