Weekly Poll Question 2/15/05
Gonzaga plays at Stanford & Santa Clara, while Washington plays Cal and Chico State at Chico in MDIA Out of Conference Games (Gonzaga is also at NCAA Division 2 Notre Dame de Namur). How will the PNCLL fare in these games?

Better bring your mud shoes. Forecast is for rain all week. Won't be a problem for the Cal game as they play on astroturf. Hope that the games come off OK.

Both our games are in the football stadium at Chico State, and the report is the field is fine despite the rain.

The PNCLL will win all 4 games!!!
For Future Polls:
It would be nice if you could keep the polls pertaining to inter conference games/players. For example, the vote casters on the game between SFU and PLU had an idea about how these teams can perform, and the outcome held relevance and merit within the PNCLL. Educated perspectives are more interesting than shady dreams and shots in the dark. Notice, a large number of members have viewed this poll, and a few have voted, however there have been no interesting responses or insights to the outcomes of these games.
Seggested Examples:
What team is going to stand out as having the top defense in the league, holding their opponents to the fewest number of goals per game?
What name comes to mind when your team is up by one, there are 20 seconds on the clock, and you need to stop the other teams top player from getting a shot on cage?

ADJ,
Dan and I have talked about that, but being so early in the season, the poll is going to be less relevant than laxpower. Some teams haven't even played their first games yet. I'm sure in a few weeks you'll see more of what you're looking for.

No Winner
Nine voters picked Gonzaga and Washington to each go 1-1, which is the closest to the actual 2-1 combined record of PNCLL teams against the WCLL this past weekend. Too bad that the GU-SCU game had to be cancelled, as we will now never know how the Zags would have fared against the Broncos. UW played both teams last year, and my guess is that this would have been a close game either way. But is is nice for the PNCLL to start '05 with a winning record against the MDIA's strongest league in any case.
This week will get two more inter-conference tests with Chico State coming up to play Oregon and Simon Fraser. Sure wish I could be in Eugene to watch these games, which could be very entertaining!
