I think 23-1 is a bit much for my tastes, but it looks like most of their back ups scored most of the points, and scores like this seem to be happening a lot lately. Again, I'm a fan of shutting it down early. Will you be asking the same question if Lindenwood blows a team out or is it only wrong when Mizzou does it?

... Thus brings up the age-old question of whether to hold back or hold steady. Personally, I'm a fan of the Mike Leach (for anyone who's familiar with Texas Tech football) philosophy of playing whistle to whistle... That may come back to bite me one day.
Not too sure but maybe someone can chime in with a link from a thread from last season regarding the issue of "running up the score" ... Not that I think Mizzou did, but the aforementioned issue was addressed in that thread, I think. We look forward to seeing both of those teams next weekend in Plano (Big XII Tourney/ Plano Shootout).
Aside from the score, how did the Nebraska squad look vs. Mizzou?

Nobody should be talking about running up a score unless you were at the game and personally saw what happened. Especially a kid from LU, I believe I watched you beat a SEMO team a couple years back with one kid on there sideline by 20+ goals.

Its college lacrosse, anything can happen. I believe that a team can, they should put up to 25+ plus points on the board. You can't think about the team your beating. When your up like that on a team it is a great chance to get your 3rd lines in and get them some playing time, if they score when they are out, more power to them.
If they have one man on the sideline, they should think twice about playing that game.
Who is scoring all of the points for sms? Beckner? How is SMS defense? They played a decent game vs. the lions last year, why are they struggling so bad this year?

with regards tio the missouri game...
if u look at the shot and scoring distribution missouri only took 14 shots in the second half... compare to 47 in the first half... that looks like they puled back to me... just so happens that nine went in...
IMHO there is national rankings at stake in MDIA lacrosse and if u want to make a statement u have to put teams away and make it look good... i dont hear many people complain when college football games have one team scoring 60 points...
and from a goalies perspective keep the shots coming if were gettin whooped on cuz i obviously need the practice...

By "a couple years ago" I would assume he's meaning when Lindenwood was still in B division. I know it's a suprise to teams in A division, but in B division some teams have barely enough players to run two midfield lines. Those teams play because they love lacrosse, and winning is an afterthought. Also, since they were playing SEMO I'm assuming it was a division game, which meant that it had to be played. Most teams can't afford to forfeit a game and pay the penatly fee just because they only have one sub. That's just the way it is.

National rankings are not affected one iota by blowout wins over teams that should be dominated.
