SELC Week #3 (2/15 - 2/21) - Report scores/Discuss Games

SVU traveled down to snowy Elon today and lost 10-5. The score was 3-3 after the 1st, 5-4 at half in favor of Elon. It was 8-4 at the end of the 3rd and of course 10-5 for the final. I like to thank the refs for a great job in the snow and Elon for good sportsmanship. The snow did not let up until the end of the 4th. There really was not much accumulation, just really slippery.

By the end of the first quarter, the scoreboard was the only friendly sign for Florida State. After 15 minutes of play, the Seminoles were up 4-2 over the Bulldogs of the University of Georgia. But they were outshot 15-12 and barely held the lead in groundballs (8-5 in favor of the Seminoles).

The game was played with 2-3 inches of snow on the ground. Good, scrappy, well-called game. Good luck to E. Michigan on tomorrow's game and the rest of the season.
