Also I got a call over the weekend from a rep of a new program at UT Chattanooga. Apparently they're playing The Citadel, Western Carolina, Kennesaw State (GA) and maybe UTenn and Auburn.

Not sure if Hendrix and the other mentioned schools (University of the South, etc) would be a varsity program or look to join the USL MDIA. I know the Univ. of the South started a club and looked to join the SELC, but their team seemed to fizzle out.

Seems like there's a possibility for some big growth in the SELC, especially at the B level.

I've also heard about new teams at Middle Tennessee State and Georgia State. Lots of potential new Div. B teams out there in SELC-land.

So would Ga State be Div B since they don't have a football team? They do have 25,000+ students, although many are commuters.

My understanding is that G State would be a division B team. Number of students has nothing to do with it....it's just that they don't have a football team. Also, they seem to compete in their conference against schools that would be B Division teams.

Middle Tennessee State would be a division A team, since they are an NCAA D1-A school.

Basically, schools with football teams in D1-A is A Division. Everyone else (D1-AA, D2, D3, etc) is B Division.
