Just got this email from John Campbell's dad who got the info from John from Southern Cali:
Chico State 20 Texas State 2
Hope the TSU team will have a safe drive back to San Marcos. The same goes to the SMU team that they will get to Dallas safely, too.

Well I'm sure the Texas State crew is most likely still on the road or dog-tired, but would anyone care to give us a run-down on the West-Coast teams yall played
not to make excuses but but a rather thin texas state team was hurt by injuries (myself included), all the teams were obviously well organized and fundamentally sound. talent wise ucla and uc davis werent far off they just didnt make the number of mistakes we did. the first two games were both close at the end of the first half (3-6, 1-4)
chico state was another story in that they were definetly superior in talent and the fluidity they played with. they did a great job at sliding, as well timing cuts and dodges seemlessly. all in all it was a fun weekend and made what we need to work on very ovbious. if you'd like info as in scouting me a pm

Yea... not to make an excuse, here's my excuse. No team should play 3 games in 24 hours, period. It was unfair to your team to play 3 of the higher caliber California teams in one full day.
Had you just played UCLA on Sat. and UC Davis on Sun. you coulda walked away with a win or two...

oh, i thought at the mdia tourny you play 3 games in three days, or 3 games in 4 days. it wasn't to my understanding that at the national tournament you have to play all 3 games in a 24 hour span, but i guess you're right.; at the national tourny every team is required to play all three games in a 24 hour period.

But the big difference there is that every team has to do it. When its just you on a road trip where the other teams get to relax at home, and play one game at most the day before it makes a big difference.

My apologies guys! Wow, I need to read closer. How in the hell did Texas State end up having to play three games in a 24 hr period; weather????
Once again, forgive me for not reading closer, I thought you were saying play a game, then turn around a day later and play another, etc.
