The scheduling is still being worked out as teams decided to drop the shootout, or commit to it as the case may be.
It was initially dawned the Big XII tournament, only trying to incorporate the Big XII teams, ie Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Baylor, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Colorado, Kansas State, Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa State, and Missouri. Because Iowa State did not want to participate, extra teams were brought in as needed to get everyone 3 games. Teams have tried to be matched up based on their legitimate level of play, and so teams like Colorado wouldn't be up against say Nebraska, or first year Oklahoma, etc, but teams like Missouri would be matched up with teams like Tech and A&M, etc.
For several reasons, it was renamed to the Plano Shootout but the premise of the Big XII competition still exists.
Hopefully, we will have a final revised schedule out this week/next week for all to see.
