Defending champ MICDS graduated only 4 seniors, of which 3 had significant playing time. Until it's proven otherwise, I would suggest they have to be the odds -on favorite entering the season (even with Coombs injury).

With Kansas High Schools now having their own conference and guranteed one playoff spot (conference champ), I could see one of them making a playoff berth and possibly lasting past the first round.

I think we were all surprised by Rockwood Summit's performance last year. Especially with that upset vs. DeSmet. I would imagine that we could see another surprise team from a public school this year.

I would put my bets on Lafayette. They are going to be really stong this year with a lot of older kids. Country Day is going to choke. They will get to cocky. Desmet does not have the best defense in the world either, just Spencer Hampton. CBC won't do it this year either. They retired 22 seniors last year.

Purely based off last years performance and number of players lost, I'd have to say Country Day has the best chance to win it all again.

You have to be kidding me. Parkway North is Prob the worst team in state. No offense to the North guys. Scratch that Lindberg is the worst team. But I congratulations on getting a team started.
