Thursday, February 16

Fort Lewis College at UTA ... Fort Lewis by a few

Friday, February 17

SMU vs. Missouri State ... SMU with little trouble. Finally SMU can get a W to help alleviate thier misleading 0-3 record.
Fort Lewis College vs. Austin College @ UTA ... Thinking Ft. Lewis is gonna have a good weekend

Saturday, February 18

Texas State vs. UC Davis 11:00 am (PST)
Texas A&M at University of Houston 1:00 pm
Rice at LSU 1:00 pm
Oklahoma State vs. Arkansas 5:00 pm ... Gonna be a nice game
SMU vs. Washington University 3:00 pm ... Chalk up another one for the Mustangs
Texas State vs. UCLA 5:00 pm (PST) ... Not too sure about this one. I'm taking UCLA b/c of relative home field advantage but I think either way it's gonna be close.
UNT at Texas 3:00 pm ... After barely edging one out against SMU, it'll be interesting to see what kinda game UT shows up with against UNT.
Fort Lewis College vs. Southwestern @ UTA at 11:00 am ... Think it'll be a close one.
St. Edwards vs. Stephen F. Austin
Trinity vs. Austin College ... I'm liking Trinity this season.

Sunday, February 19

Texas State vs. Chico State 11:00 am (PST) ... Chico State has a strong team and Texas State will have to run on all cylinders to pull off the upset.
SMU vs. Lindenwood 1:00 pm ... Lindenwood takes this one but I'm eager to hear about some surprises from SMU.
TCU at Southwestern 12:00 pm ... Southwestern by 4

I think you have the right idea. There was a post a while ago where I was trying to explain that I don't think it's beneficial to go out and schedule a bunch of big dogs in the OOC spectrum to try and boost your rankings, but rather, get a feel for how other teams in other conferences play ball, and like you said, come back as a more complete team because of it. Good luck this weekend fellas.

Good Luck all you at TSU. I normally don't pick teams or jump in on these things, but I am definitely taking TSU to have a big weekend. Have fun in Cali yall...

No offense but it seems that you don't know much about the GRLC and its teams (as usually happens with OOC games these days) because Wash. U. is a solid team that draws in A LOT of east coast boys since they are one of the top medical schools in the country. No team that faces them can take them lightly or else they will greatly regret it.

If SMU is as good as they are made out to be though, then I would love to be in St. Louis to see that game!

beckner11 ... If I'm not mistaken, Mark coached a team that played Wash U last season. Hence, I think he would know a thing or two...

I am looking forward to the Washu/SMU game. WashU reloaded and seems ready for a big year. SMU almost pulled the upset over Texas.

My gut says WashU's got too many skill players this year, we shall see however.

I can't wait to see if Missouri State bounces back against SMU. That Harding loss must burn.

True, If Wash U has reloaded their team I wouldn't have known. My knowledge of teams is much better in the LSA, But as benji said we played them last year (or the year before I can't remember) and won soundly. And from what I have usually seen even when teams get a great class (most of the time freshmen) it still takes them a full year or two to mesh as a team and become competitive again.

Uh Mark:

Last year was the only time you played Washu and here's the recap from last year:

"Texas Tech - 10

Wash U - 9

Wash U led 7-5 at half, and 9-7 after 3, but didn't have the depth on the bench and Tech took over in the 4th. A great game to watch...tough game to lose."

I guess for the LSA and out of conference victories that's winning soundly.
