We found some underneath our school and took a closer look along with a few pics. But after trying to go back this year found out they have thrown a lock on the hidden entrance :?

U of Tennessee does have tunnels like this under the Hill. A popular time to sneak in them is during snow storms. No pics though. That is evidence.

A lot of campuses have tunnels like this. Michigan State does also. They aren't "secret", but they are locked up.

They house the steam pipes from the power plant on campus.

I've been in them (legally for my college job) and they are really hot, and not a place the average person would want to hang out in.

National Technical Institute for the Deaf (NTID), one of the colleges under Rochester Institute of Technology, does have tunnels; however, there are no pipes. Those tunnels are more of concrete-type where you can go down to go from one building to another during the winter time. I visited some of my friends many years ago, and they showed me their "tunnels." The interesting thing if I recalled correctly was that there were written messages on the walls.

I've heard UW Green Bay has tunnels, but they're the practical kind. They connect campus buildings, in addition to the dorms if I'm not mistaken, so you don't have to go outside when it's exceptionally cold.

When I was in junior high in Annapolis, MD we would sneak into this place on the cliffs overlooking the Severn River. We always called it the Friary, and always assumed it was formerly a friary. It had a good size chapel and several dorms, but there was also a small series of tunnels underneath the buildings. Most of these appeared to be storage areas, but there were no lights and as junior high kids we were pretty terrified roaming around in there with nothing but a flashlight or candles.

Anyone from the Arnold/Annapolis area know anything about "the Friary"?? It seems like there was a school there for Nuclear Power Plant safety people, but not sure. The chapel itself looked to be active at the time.
