It looks like a great weekend of Lax in the southland. Almost all of these games will be very close and hard to predict. So my predictions may be way off and that is ok.

What I do see is Florida State rocking the house but there are plenty of programs that have the ability to beat Florida State. On any given day anything can happen. I miss you Guys. Best of luck in the 06 season.

Florida State 22, Mars Hill 9

Postby FSU Lacrosse on Fri Feb 10, 2006 8:17 am

(from fsulacrosse.com)

A minimum of 20 goals in the season opener seems to be the current requirement start for Florida State’s lacrosse team. The Seminoles opened up the 2004 and 2005 seasons each with a 26-5 win over Emory University in Tallahassee. Now the Noles continue the trend, this time with a 22-9 win over Division II’s Mars Hill College.

Friday night final from the GA Tech turf in Atlanta, GA:
Southern Virginia 11, Alabama 7

SVU led 7-6 at the end of three qtrs, but outscored the Tide 4-1 in the final stanza to salt away the victory on the Ga Tech turf under some light rain and 50 degree temps.
