Your hypotheses needed. What order will UMLL teams finish in their respective divisions come spring's end?? Based on what I've seen in fall ball, heard from this board, and delt with in early pre-season play, I say for the A division:
1) UMD
2) U of M
3) UW-Stevens Point
4) MN St.-Mankato
5) St. Olaf
6) Iowa State
7) Mn St.-Moorhead
St. Cloud
9) Marquette---ineligible, correct?
B Division:
1) Big upset, UST
2) Saint John's
3) UW-Eau Claire
4) Bethel
5) Carleton
6) ND State
My explanation regarding UST being #1: These guys always play up to the level of their opponents, but seem to pull out great games against St. John's. Either way, I think both teams finish their B-div schedule undefeated, so it all comes down to the tie-breaker. Also, St. J's is without Nic Michaelson (avg. 4.6 goals per game), leading B-div point scorer...big shoes to fill.
It's early, I know, but whaddya think?

UMD will run away with it without a doubt. Who is in net this year for the U, is the only goalie the one who played at the Xcel vs SJU?? St. Cloud can pull out some nice wins as Grannes leads the team and they got a few others that can ball.
1) UMD-lock
2) U of M
3) UW-Stevens Point
4) MN St.-Mankato
5) St. Cloud
6) Iowa State
7) St. Olaf
Mn St.-Moorhead
9) Marquette---ineligible
For the B Div
i wont comment on SJU/UST as everyone should know who think is going to win. It will be decided first on April 2nd at 3pm @ collegevile in Clemens stadium with the scoreboard, music and all the goodies. Should be a Great game. NDSU looked about 200times better then last year when they played this fall at the moorhead tourney, they almost beat UST. I know they were leading for while but ended up loosing by 1 or 2. Carelton just needs more players on the bench to make a real impact. I think there will be very very competitive games all around in the b div this year, no true blowouts.
1)
2)
3) UW-Eau Claire
4) Bethel
5) NDSU
6) Carelton

next year
Does anyone besides current and former gophs think that we will finish first next year? A lot of returning players and new players for both the U and Duluth, but I dont think that its a slam dunk that Duluth will finish first.
Anyone going to the World Championships in London, Ontario this summer?

Perhaps having to replace Eugene Zevlev weighs heavily on the minds of the voters. That guy was quite a player.

Young - 33g16a
Kuknmuench - 27g7a
Zevelev was the best offensive player in the UMLL last year, but you cant forget the rest of these guys.

Ah memories.
I remember when Tim walked up to me on campus, introduced himself, and asked if he could join the team. I also had the pleasure of assisting on his first goal.
Justin always threatening to break out the "peace bat" when practice got too casual, or when people fought with each other. One of the only guys who's shot causes you to duck as a survival instinct.
I'll miss John too. 56 goals is quite an accomplishment.
A great group of guys, we'll certainly miss them all, and not just for their stats.
Good luck to you all as you start the season. We'll see you in April.

Sadly I wasnt able to join in that tradition. Someone on the field has to be responsible for it.

Good luck Gophers...I am just hoping to see a few good games between the 2 teams. And for gods sake quit counting out UWSP, they will be threatening if not winning it all
