i thought they would stop with the 'parents in the crowd' thing after Jay Cutler's dad in the UF Vandy game. They kept flashing to him, he mouthed multiple f-u's when things were going right for vandy. after that he was putting in a huge chomper of skoal, the next time he was being restrained by his wife and the dude sitting next to him while trying to go after a taunting gator fan.

Wow, culax, you got two-thirds of your prediction amazingly right!!
Vince Young - simply unbelieveable effort. He talked the talk, fairly quietly and definitely walked the walk. #1 draft pick if he comes out, which he should. He can be multi-multi millionaire in short order.
A lot of people are focusing on Carroll going for it on 4th, but I thought it was a great play. More important were the face-mask on the third-down play that gave UT a first down, and even bigger, Reggie lobbing the ball away early in the game when they would have been first and goal. Vince turns that turnover into 3 pts - a 10 point swing!

More importantly was the lack of effective replay (i.e. Texas' first TD), and a few very key decisions made my USC (last timeout? huh? of course they'll go for 2). I'm still confused on the 4&2 why Bush wasn't out there. Texas wouldn't have been able to put 10 in the box with Bush out in the slot (i.e. the linebacker would bump out as opposed to getting into a 4 point stance and shooting the gap). Bush should have been the largest decoy around on a few other plays in my eyes, and he wasn't. I'm not even a USC fan and I feel like I got hosed.

I was way off... I predicted a USC blowout thinking White would dominate between the tackles, with Bush & ML spreading the field.

I was impressed with Bush & ML congratulating Texas in their locker room after the game. Classy move I doubt you'd see a Miami team make at any point in the recent past or the future.

Final Standings

L = 13-15
Li = 14-14
D = 14- 14
CJ = 15-13
T = 16-12
CU = 18-10
S = 18-10
F = 19-9
N = 20-8

Nexlax21 did an amazing job of picking games this year. Out of the four pools that I entered; 20 is the highest number of games that I have seen correctly picked (19 in two of my other leagues and 18 with ties in the last one). Congrats and thanks to all who played.
