come on Trojans! What happen to this invincible team? Funny how the guys from t.u. are cramping, I think both of them are from the Houston area too-what gives!?

Just saw the replay - Leinart looked a little dazed after that first half hit. Hope he is OK.

Truly a game for the ages! Hats off to the Horns for a great victory. Vince Young is a pretty fair player, I'd say...

USC uses their last timeout during a 2 POINT CONVERSION, in which have the correct defensive formation to recognize that....then Matt L scrambles for 8 seconds then throws the ball away...I dont know what makes my head hurt worse...USC not going for the points in the first quarter or the USC timeout/pointless-scramble at the end of the game...or when Texas stacked like 8 guys in the box on 4th and 1 in the last minutes of the game and running it up the middle when (obviously) they saw it coming. Oh wait, it was not using instant replay on Vince Young's knee being down on that free touchdown. Im sorry, Im venting.

In - Vince - ible.
Vince-anity.

That guy just makes plays, I don't know what kind of Pro QB he will be, but he just makes plays. He just wins games. He has only lost won game as a starter in his career.

Here is hoping he stays one more year to improve.

Vince Young makes plays, but I really worry that at the pro level, he is going to struggle. I hope he stays at Texas.

The dead bolt lock was accurate. Wish I was at the sports book at the Bellagio with my mortgage on the line. ;)

I don't really like Texas (or dislike USC). Just thought that USC would eventually have to lose a big game (after 34 in a row). Also thought that Vince Young & the Horns would be a tad bit more hungry for this particular game then USC. Many times the point spread is meaningless in a big/rivalry type game when it is ~ 7 points.

Other random thoughts from last night's game:

1. Keith Jackson is losing it. "The extra point is good, not its not, yes it is." Time to retire to the big microphone in the sky. It's sad to see someone who was so good in his prime, hanging on.

2. USC's cheerleaders are ready for primetime. I hope they never, every change their cheerleader outfits with those classic white sweaters.

3. Texas' cheerleaders where pretty good too, but not quite the quality or quantity of SC. Texas Cheerleaders also looked like Western Hookers with the fake chaps and the burnt orange on their posteriors.

4. (For those who could see it) The broadcast in HD on ABC was jaw dropping. The big runs by Bush and V. Young were captured in high detail from multiple angles. Watching all the BCS games in HD really was fantastic. Wish ABC would put their regular season games in HD like CBS & NBC (Notre Dame home games).

5. Leinart acted bitter in the post-game interview after the loss. "We are better then them, but we couldn't stop them at the end." Buck up Matt and take your loss like a man.

6. Vince Young is an amazing college QB. Everyone is ready to proclaim him as a great NFL QB. The "bloom" is off Michael Vick. VY, who was the best player on the field loaded with multiple NFL types, may be in the same boat as Vick. I hope he hooks up with a good NFL offensive coordinator. I can't see him staying in Austin for his senior year.

7. Lendale White is an incredible RB. How many times did he get tough yards, running up the middle?

8. Can we please stop the constant "parents in the crowd" TV shot? I don't need to see Leinart's father or Lendale White's parents 20 times last night. One time after a big play is OK. Multiple times is simply aggravating.

9. Announced Rose Bowl crowd was ~ 93K. I thought the Rose Bowl held closer to 100K? Did they reduce the seating in there?

Great game last night. Fantastic finish to a great college football year and bowl season. On to college hoops and spring lacrosse...

Could be mistaken but I don't believe those were the cheerleaders. I think they are the dance team, different from the cheerleaders.

I have to be prepared to hear this talk allllll year from my mom who is a Longhorn graduate, and she is coming to my house today.

All I can say that it was a good game, and like Sonny, I don't really care for the Longhorns nor the Trojans. It was just another game to me.

I just can't wait for our focus to be shifted to LACROSSE!

Well Brent, you have at least two weeks of NFL football talk before things go back to normal. Good luck handling your Mom!

What NFL football are you talkin' about?

I am just keeping an eye on the start of LSA on the weekend of January 28 when Texas State University tangles with Baylor University at 1 pm on January 28.

The edition of 2005-2006 college football is now ancient history. The edition of NFL football is soon to be ancient history.

I will drive to College Station to see a lax game, but that's kind of drive-I'd like to Austin more, but that's really long... now if those girls in the chaps showed up at the lax games, well.......ROAD TRIP!
