Lax clocks, stop watches etc

I need to find something for the table this season. I was going to just buy a couple cheap stop watches but came across the following. I was wondering if anyone had seen one used or know anything about it.

I haven't seen the first two. There was one at the convention last year, also called Lax Clock I believe... I have their business card at home. Don't think it's the same one you have linked there.

If you want to spend a lot of money, go try one of them. But I use the third one whenever I run a table. Simple to use and inexpensive. It does the job.

We used the 3rd for our first few seasons, then two years ago I bought the team that lax clock. I think it works great. All the clocks run together and are really easy to use. It wasn't really all that expensive in the big scheme of things because our varsity, JV, middle school and 5-6th grade teams use it. If it were me, I'd buy it.

The first LaxClock is the previous version of the 2nd one pictured. There were definite improvements from #1 to #2. Also, the maker did some chip upgrades this past fall to add some more enhancements.
#3 certainly works, but to do games and penalties you're pushing a lot more buttons.
The nice thing about the LaxClock (www.laxclock.com) is that all the clocks are synchronized to one button. If you have a scoreboard clock you can run 3 penalties on the one box, It also lets you keep the score on the clock as well, and it has a "horn" built in also. (Granted, the "horn" sounds like a building burglar alarm going off, you find out where the off button is quickly!) It also lets you keep time in running-time games with stop-time penalties, which is really nice. the game time keeps running, but there is a second button that starts and stops just the penalty times.
Being an official and showing up at many HS or club games where they're running around trying to find a wristwatch to keep time, it was always frustrating. I actually had thought of making a design like this, and when I went to the convention last year, there it was!
The gentleman that made it is an electrical engineer with two kids that play lacrosse, and did this in his spare time. Obviously a labor of love, since the market can't be that big, and it is a very professional piece of equipment,
Anyways, I carry it in my trunk and used it at several games last year, and then gave the teams a brochure so they could order one. I'm not on his payroll, but it works really well and will solve all of your timekeeping issues for years to come. Highly recommend it.

It's not really a horn like an air horn - it's more like an electronic squeal. You can hear it, that's for sure, but it is kind of obnoxious. Give me your phone number and I'll call you and you can hear it!
Being a circuit-board based device, I don't think he was able to incorporate an actual horn. It does have a quieter beeper that tells you when penalty times have elapsed.
My advice - get a lax clock for the timekeeping convenience and an air horn for the horn. BTW, the scorers that have used my LaxClock have really liked it. I do think it was a great invention for lacrosse teams.
