DALLAS -- Former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Michael Irvin reiterated Monday that a marijuana pipe found in his car belonged to a longtime friend, not his brother -- and denied any discrepancy between what he told reporters and police.

Irvin told The Associated Press late Monday that a police officer apparently took his use of the word "brother" literally when he was arrested Friday after being pulled over for speeding.

Same here, but I think that was wishful thinking on my part... or just a habit.

Micheal and Stu Scott from ESPN both said in their on-air interview that it was a "crack-pipe" .... here in dallas on tv it was just described as drug paraphenalia but the papers say it was a marijuana pipe. Who knows... either way if espn believes him so far, who's to say a judge won't let him off with a warning.

I don't think I have ever seen anyone actually pulled over on the Dallas Tollway.

Its difficult to see anything when you're traveling 130 MPH just to keep from gettin rear-ended.

Or see the two good Samaritans you just ran over on your way to DFW. To read more on Dwayne "Chicken Wings/Do You Know Who I Am?" Goodrich, just another Tennessee alum to be convicted of manslaughter (Hello Leonard Little!) and former Cowboy, try this link:

Just keepin it real, Dwayne! As to the Irvin thing, I ask this one question: Why not destroy the crack/marijuana pipe? If you care that much, then you will help your boy out that far.

I believe he said he was planning to throw it out in a dumpster, but forgot it was there.

Michael did always have a problem walking that thin white line between white and wrong....

The story is just rediculous enough to be true, but it doesn't matter. I'm sure money can solve the problem for him regardless. If OJ didn't do it, Randy Moss can hit parking attendants with his car, and the Oilers can blow a 28 point lead, that crack pipe was not in Irvin's car in the first place.

Not a betting man, are you? Irvin has not only the money but the sycophants at ESPN in his corner. Then again, they weren't even enough to save Nate Newton, not once, but twice.

The cautionary tale of Nate Newton:

Well, he never had a problem walking a certain thin white line... especially if a mirror and a $20 bill were lying around.
