Practice Field Lighting - Rental

Postby LaxTchr on Wed Nov 23, 2005 9:41 am

Does anyone know that name of any companies that lease lighting equipment (long term) for practice fields?

Any information is appreciated!

You might wanna try one of those Rentmax places that rent industrial and construction equipment, i.e. mini-cranes and forklifts. I think those places usually have portable outdoor lighting set-ups.

Try this link, http://www.rentalsite.com/RentalSite/ , you should be able to find something in your area.

Musco Lighting is the best in the world, if you have deep pockets for a long term rental.

We rent auxillary lighting for the outside of Sanford Stadium for night games. We use a Rental Service Corporation. These towers are portable and run on diesel fuel. I would suspect you would need at least 8 of the light towers which cost us $80/day after giving the salesman tickets to two Georgia games.

For permanent light we also use Musco. As the previous poster said they are the best, but pricey.

Good luck

What you are looking for is called a light tower. You would probably need four to light a regulation field. i rent these all the time for my job.

In the DC area try:

Sunbelt Rentals
http://www.sunbeltrentals.com/locations/locations.asp?state=VA

Hertz Rental Equipment
http://www.hertzequip.com/

United Rentals
http://www.unitedrentals.com/index.php/locator/search/?address=&city=Mclean&state=VA&zip=&country=USA&searchAreasAll=Y

Or call you local golf course, say Reston National or Hidden Creek. GCs use them all the time.

Hope this helps.
