I have and its quite boring.

Didn't help we lost to Georgia Tech at home.

One of Chris Bosh's final games in a Georgia Tech uniform. If he would have stayed for his entire collegiate career, he would be a senior for the Jackets now. Ditto for Portland 1st round pick PG Jarrett Jack.

I am a diehard Hawkeye Football and Basketball fan. Even though no one went to basketball games after my freshmen year, my roommate and I still made it to 95% of the games, ususally standing in the first couple rows of the student section.

But that game sucked as there was no student section and they sold tickets general admission to everyone so it was first come, first serve. Students somewhat get into the games but the older crew in Carver sit on their hands plus it was an NIT game so no one was really into it.

If I remember correctly, we had a chance to win it or put G-Tech away but in typical Iowa-fashion with Alford as the coach, we pissed the game down our leg.

Yep. Bosh (if I recall correctly) scored the game winning basket at the buzzer in Iowa City to stun the Hawkeyes. GT then went on to play at Texas Tech two days later and they lost a heart-breaker against Knight and the Red Raiders for a shot at NYC.

P.S. As I understand it Benson -- The NIT forces all host schools to sell tickets for all of these extra games. Part of the student & alumni attendance problems (all across the country) at NIT games is that they typically aren't included in the season ticket packages. So schools are left to sell tickets at the very last second to alumni and students. They can't just open the doors and let everyone in - else they would have to write a big check to the NIT.

I guess that would be part of the pessimist season ticket package or something?
