Haha ya I know, I went to the High School tournament two years ago, and it was after a day of snow. It was just one big mud fest.

Dont be afraid of mud. A little mud has never killed anyone. I personally think it is fun to play in mud.

I think the weather will be fine. You can rest assure that I had nothing to do with the A&M tournament which will almost guarantee good weather. However, I will be at the tournament which could muddle the weather predictions a little.

Tell that to the Plano West player who was running when his leg got stuck in the mud and his thigh bone snapped in half.

Just got out of www.weather.com and the average temperature range at College Station this weekend will go from 84 to 87 degrees with Saturday with partly cloudy. However, the current forecast is that there would be 0% precipitation. The ozone level for this weekend should be good as I had to click on "Check the Air Quality" for Saturday. :) 8-)

Nevertheless, there will be no worrying about getting your leg stuck in the mud.

http://www.weather.com/activities/health/airquality/weather/weekend.html?locid=USTX0270&from=36hr_topanv_aq

For the teams playing this weekend, they may want to click on "Details" when looking at the Saturday forecast where you can study about the wind speed, etc.

ya, a little mud can make some games interesting, especially back when I played soccer. But when there's a huge pit of muddy water in the middle of the field, it kind of takes some fun out of the game(even more so when it's freezing). EIther way, I can not wait till this weekend especially now that I know there is going to be great weather!

muddy fields...

Postby devildog0351 on Thu Nov 03, 2005 1:24 pm

I don't think there is much that is more fun than playing a football game in the mud and pouring rain. The good ole days of hs football... Then again it was fun playing OSU last year in 4 inches of snow...

I am afraid that I will be found guilty and charged for straying too far from the original topic of A&M tourney, but since some of us are waxing nostalgic about miserable weather. I still recall that day when my soccer team and I had to play in the mud with pouring rain and the temps were about in the 30s. That was in October in Rochester, NY. Believe me, it was an interesting experience playing in the mud and learning to be oblivious to the freezing temps.

Well, back to the A&M tourney, I wish all the three categories of the teams playing well and safely.

Yeagy,

I have my money on Houston Select (highschool team). Usually teams from houston are put together pretty well. There is a reason they are put in the A division. So watch out... you could be embarrassed.
