Oregon Fall Classic

Oregon Fall Classic

Postby teslax14 on Sun Oct 30, 2005 4:12 pm

The Oregon Fall Classic came to an end yesterday with an Oregon Green vs Oregon White final and Oregon Green coming out on top by 3 goals. Also in attendance were UC Davis, OSU, Linfield, and Eugene Mens Club. OSU looked much improved but mistakes kept them from going the distance. Their only loss was to Oregon Green (something like 10-3). Linfield also looked impressive as they beat UC Davis. Thanks to all for making the trip, especially UC Davis.

Why does it matter how we split out teams?

That was one of my first thoughts also. How do you split up what seems like 1000 talented guys? Do you stack one team or keep lines of middies/attack together? Did you essentially keep your starters together? or did your bench beat up on the other teams?

It doesn't really matter, people were just curious.

We split our team straight down the middle. We kind of kept lines of middies together but the defense and attack were split evenly. Scary huh? We don't know who the starters are yet so there is no way of telling you that. What was evident was that there is a lot of young and old talent on this team. It should be an interesting year.
