Heisman Thoughts
Top four in my book are Reggie Bush, Vince Young, Laurence Maroney, and Brady Quinn.

They were playing Illinois...
I believe Reggie Bush won the Heisman a couple weeks ago in South Bend. Since the Heisman voting is done before the bowl games, I think it will be very hard for anyone to catch Reggie (i.e. Texas beating SC in the BCS championship would not have any impact on the voting).
Maroney - only real football fans have heard of him.
Quinn - played well, but lost the most high profile game of the season. Obvious front runner for next year.
Young - the one guy that can catch Bush, if UT runs the table and SC gets beat during the regular season...he MIGHT win it.
Guy who should be getting pub? The QB from Northwestern, whose name I will not attempt to spell.

I had to feed the monster.... but Little Vick at VT is pretty amazing and the Hokies are undefeated. Probably will go to Bush when it's all said and done if USC keeps rolling. Brady Quinn needs to win more then one home game to be on that list.

Agreed. They look worse in HD. Time to turn off ESPN HD.

It's not even that Brady Quinn lost that high profile game against USC, he scored the go ahead touchdown, it was more like Bush and Leinhart won it at the end. Maybe there was a little luck with the review and Bush pushing leinhart in the end zone, but they pulled it out.

i dont' think bush's push was reviewable. or would that be in the pros? the luck was that leinhart fumbled on the previous play.

You also have to think, who is more valuable to their team's success. While Reggie Bush is phenomenal, USC would still be in the top of the pack with LenDale, Dwayne Jarret, and Leinart. Take for instance, Maurice Drew, without him UCLA would be nowhere near #6. Yes, they have Marcedes, but Maurice Drew is the UCLA team. I would give the vote to him or to Vince Young, who is equally important to his team.

UCLA
Maurice Drew is a great player, but seriously.... Washington (which has 2 wins in two years) dominated UCLA in the Rose Bowl and the Bruins were lucky to come from behind and win late on some bad Husky plays and coaching decisions. Then the Bruins fell behind 21-0 at Washington State and made a nice comeback in that game too. I give the Bruins credit for great clutch rallying over two bad football teams, but they are not in the same class as USC. I expect the Trojans to beat UCLA by 30 points. It will be a demolition.

How can you brush off Robinson like he's a nobody and then praise the Northwestern QB who Robinson beat in dramatic fashion??
